Job Description

FILINVEST COMPANY: TIMBERLAND HIGHLANDS RESORT



POSITION SUMMARY:

In accordance with the policies, procedure and standards of Chroma Hospitality Inc. and Timberland Highlands Resort.
The Agronomist is responsible for ensuring the health, sustainability, and aesthetic quality of all landscaped and planted
areas within Timberland Highlands Resort. This includes soil management, pest and disease control, plant propagation,
and the implementation of sustainable landscape practices. The Agronomist leads the landscaping team to ensure
optimal plant growth and landscape upkeep.

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

MEETS AND EXCEEDS CUSTOMERS AND TEAM MEMBERS EXPECTATIONS

  1. Provides value-added service to customers by doing whatever reasonable and possible to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  2. Communicates effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
  3. Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed.
  4. Handles difficult situations effectively.
  5. Performs other duties as required to provide Only the BEST for our Guests! service and teamwork.

LANDSCAPE OPERATIONS AND MANAGEMENT

  1. Plans, implements, and monitors agronomic and horticultural programs including soil enrichment, irrigation, pest management, and plant propagation.
  2. Oversees maintenance of lawns, gardens, trees, shrubs, and ornamental plants throughout the resort.
  3. Conducts regular soil and plant health assessments to identify nutrient deficiencies and pest issues, recommending corrective measures.
  4. Ensures proper use of fertilizers, pesticides, and organic treatments in accordance with environmental and safety standards.
  1. Supervises the Landscape Supervisor and landscaping staff in daily operations, ensuring work quality and adherence to schedules.
  2. Coordinates with the Engineering Department for irrigation systems, drainage, and landscape infrastructure.
  3. Prepares reports on plant inventory, landscape condition, and agronomic activities.
  4. Recommends new plant species and sustainable landscaping methods suitable to the resorts climate and terrain.
  5. Oversees nursery operations and propagation projects in support of resort landscaping and environmental programs.

OTHER DUTIES

  1. COMPANY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES: Adheres to the provisions outlined in the Employee Handbook, Disciplinary Code and Rules and Regulations.
  2. ATTENDANCE: Adheres to the set procedures for attendance and timekeeping.
  3. COMMUNICATIONS: Maintains good communications for efficient operations.
  4. GUEST RELATIONS: As assigned and at all opportunities, assists guest directly and indirectly in order to resolve problems and provide them a delightful staying experience in the resort.
  5. LOST AND FOUND: Fully aware of and comply with Lost and Found procedures at all times.
  6. EMERGENCY RESPONSE: Possesses full knowledge of emergency procedures.
  7. EQUIPMENT CARE: Ensures proper care and maintenance of equipment in the area of assignment.
  8. GROOMING AND HYGIENE: Adheres to specified hygiene and personal appearance standards of the resort.
  9. TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE ACTIVITIES: Attends scheduled training and participates in company-initiated employee activities.
  10. ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS: Is fully aware of and complies with the Resorts Environmental Policy and practices sustainable development principles.
  11. GUIDING PRINCIPLES: Practices the Guiding Principles in day-to-day interaction.
  12. Performs other functions and duties as may be assigned by immediate superiors from time to time.
  13. Performs work other functions, whether on and off public holidays with short or no notice.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  2. Performs assigned responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve overall objectives.

  5. At all times projects a favorable image of Timberland Highlands Resort to the public.
  6. Performs any other duties and tasks that may be assigned by immediate superiors from time to time.
