Twin Valley Co-op is hiring for Agro Operations Worker Yard/Driver – Full-Time & Seasonal in Russell, MB.
Full-Time & Seasonal (Experienced Candidates)
Twin Valley Co-op is seeking dependable, safety-focused Agro Operations Workers with strong people skills to support our local producers. This role is well-suited for individuals with prior agricultural, yard, plant, or commercial driving experience who are comfortable working in a hands-on, seasonal environment.
What you’ll do:
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will carry out Agro operations, yard, maintenance, and driving duties in a safe, timely, and efficient manner while delivering excellent customer service to Co-op employees and customers.
Agro Operations – Yard, Plant & Maintenance (approximately 50%)
- Provide customer service through in-person, telephone, and written communication.
- Assist at fertilizer plants (loading/unloading product, spill clean-up, general maintenance).
- Assist in chemical sheds, including loading/unloading and filling customer orders.
- Assist in seed sheds and seed treating operations (including Miniota Agro).
- Load and unload water tanks, fencing materials, livestock equipment, and related products.
- Perform yard maintenance duties (mowing, weed control, painting, general upkeep).
Driver Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently deliver agricultural products to Twin Valley Co-op customers.
- Operate equipment and vehicles in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete required paperwork with attention to detail.
- Operate within Canadian Driver Hours of Service regulations.
- Complete and maintain NH3 and other required safety training.
Other Duties:
- Attend staff meetings and product or information clinics.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and compliance requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Who are you:
Required:
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting 55+ lbs., bending, kneeling, shoveling, and working outdoors in all seasons
Preferred / Assets:
- Class 3 or Class 1 driver’s license (or willingness to upgrade).
- Agricultural or farm background.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Forklift experience.
Hours & Compensation:
- Peak season (March–November) requires extended hours; overtime paid after 8 hours per day.
- Off-season schedule typically Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Wage range: $25.00–$30.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
