Twin Valley Co-op is hiring a Full-Time and Seasonal Agro Operations Worker (Up to 2-year Training Agreement) for their Agro Department in Russell, Rossburn, Miniota, Birtle or Elkhorn, MB.

We are seeking motivated individuals who are interested in agriculture and willing to learn through a structured, paid training pathway. This position is ideal for candidates who may not yet possess all required certifications but demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and an interest in building a long-term career in Agro retail operations.
Training & Development Pathway
Training positions are offered under a structured training agreement of up to two years, designed to progressively build skills and qualifications.
Training candidates will receive:
- Hands-on, paid training across Agro operations, yard, plant, and delivery functions.
- Support and sponsorship to upgrade to a Class 3 or Class 1 driver’s license.
- Safety certifications, including NH3 training.
- Ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
- Increasing responsibility as competencies are achieved.
Upon successful completion of the training agreement, candidates will be considered for long-term, full-time roles within Twin Valley Co-op’s Agro Operations.
Key Responsibilities (Progressive with Training)
- Assist with fertilizer, chemical, and seed operations.
- Load and unload agricultural products and materials.
- Support yard maintenance and general upkeep.
- Provide courteous customer service to producers and team members.
- Learn safe operation, inspection, and maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
- Participate in required safety training, meetings, and information session.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all seasons and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to lift 55+ lbs., bend, kneel, shovel, and stand for extended periods.
- Strong interest in agriculture and willingness to learn.
Assets (Preferred):
- Farm or agricultural experience.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Forklift or equipment experience.
Hours & Compensation:
- Seasonal peak hours (March–November) with overtime after 8 hours per day.
- Off-season schedule typically Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Starting wage within the $17.00–$22.00 per hour range, based on experience and progression.
