If you're a dedicated leader with a strong commitment to agriculture, collaboration, and operational success, our Innisfail Agro Centre offers the perfect opportunity for you. We’re looking for a full-time Agro Manager to join our dynamic team.

Position: Agro Manager

Full-time 40 hours per week. Benefit eligible after 3 months. If you are coming from out of province, please remember you need to have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.

Availability requirements: Weekdays

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Agro Division Manager, you will be responsible for the planning and day-to-day execution of the Agro Centre and will:

  • Provide operational direction and oversight on implementing programs and policies for the Agro Centre in the areas of brand, customer service levels, quality, and timeliness of delivery
  • Build strong customer relationships and oversee the execution of sales strategies for the Agro Centre through managing and growing current customers and identifying and pursuing growth opportunities
  • Oversee the execution of marketing and merchandising including displays, promotions, and pricing
  • Ensure standards are achieved on all safety, environmental, and asset protection policies and procedures and overseeing the safe handling and storage of inventory and equipment for the location
  • Prepare, administer, and achieve budgeted goals as it relates to pricing, sales margins, expenses, and inventory
  • Provide leadership to the Agro Centre team, including recruitment, goal setting, performance management, training, and development of team members

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Agriculture and:

  • You have a Degree in Agriculture
  • You have 8+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years of leadership experience or a combination of education and experience
  • You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do
  • You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives
