Research Assistant
[What you will be working on]
• Assist the project leader and co-project leaders to achieve the aims of the research project.
• Develop and train machine learning models to analyse environmental and plant physiological data for aeroponic system optimization.
• Design and implement IoT-based sensor networks for real-time data acquisition, monitoring, and system control.
• Process, clean, analyse, and interpret large datasets related to plant growth, nutrient uptake, and environmental parameters.
• Integrate AI algorithms with automation systems for dynamic control of aeroponic system.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and progress updates aligned with project milestones.
• Work closely with the Research Engineer and other team members to translate experimental findings into algorithm refinement.
• Supervise and guide students involved in AI and IoT components of the project.
• Manage procurement processes, including liaising with vendors, sourcing materials, equipment, and testing supplies, and raising purchase requests.
• Document and track project issues, expenses, budget, action logs, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Project Leader.
