Are you someone who enjoys being outdoors, working with your hands, and seeing the results of your work grow—literally? Join our team as a Crop Applicator and play a vital role in supporting local agriculture and ensuring strong, healthy crops for the seasons ahead.

In this role, you'll be responsible for safely and accurately applying crop protection products (like fertilizers and pesticides) to fields using specialized equipment. You'll work closely with our agronomy team and farmers to help ensure the right products are used at the right time to maximize yield and minimize impact.

A Sample of What You’ll Do in This Role:

  • Operate application equipmentto apply fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, and pesticides to crop fields with precision and care.

  • Load and mix crop protection products and fertilizersaccording to labeled instructions and agronomist guidance.

  • Maintain detailed application records, including products used, rates, field locations, and weather conditions.

  • Perform routine maintenanceon application equipment and vehicles to ensure safe, reliable operation.

  • Communicate clearly with the agronomy team and growers, asking questions and following directions as needed to ensure top-quality service.

  • Assist with warehouse and inventory tasks, such as receiving products, organizing materials, and preparing blends for delivery.

  • Support other workduring the off-season or slower periods, including general labor, mechanical help, or facility maintenance.

  • Follow all safety and environmental protocolsto protect yourself, the team, and the land.

What You Bring to The Role:

  • Commercial Pesticide Applicator License– Must be obtained in accordance with your state’s Department of Agriculture (we’ll help you get certified if you don’t have it yet).

  • CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with appropriate endorsements(e.g., HazMat or Tanker) is highly preferred and often required for transporting chemicals or operating tender trucks.

  • DOT Medical Card for CDL drivers, in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.

  • Comfortable withGPS and precision ag technologyused in application equipment (training can be provided).

  • Willingness to work long hours and varied shifts during peak season (up to 6–7 days/week, 10–14 hours/day).

  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work in outdoor/agricultural environments.

  • Understanding ofchemical labeling, mixing, and application procedures(training and ongoing education provided).

  • Familiarity with or willingness to learnEPA, OSHA, and state safety regulationsrelated to pesticide and fertilizer use.

  • Must wear appropriatePPE (Personal Protective Equipment)and follow safe handling protocols at all times.

Compensation & Benefits

  • The base compensation for this position ranges from $21.88 - $29.19 per hour. Please note that wages may vary depending on skills and experience.

  • This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, and retirement plan participation, including an employer contribution of up to 7% into your 401(k).
