As an Agility Senior Associate in Consumer & Community Banking Finance, you will contribute to the team by guiding and supporting solution delivery teams in adopting and adapting agile practices throughout the product development lifecycle. Leveraging your advanced knowledge of agile principles, you will facilitate group discussions, decision-making processes, and collaborative activities to build continuous improvement and high performance. Your expertise in coaching, communication, and leadership will enable you to effectively manage complex projects, foster a culture of innovation, and enable the successful delivery of high-quality solutions.

In this role you will manage Team-level ways of working and partner with PALs and Tech Leads to drive shared consistency for the team to work in a more productive & efficient manner. As an Agility Lead in Consumer and Community Banking, you will play a significant role as a champion for the adoption and continuous improvement of Agile practices within our teams. Leveraging your deep knowledge of product development methodologies and Agile principles, use your expert guidance, mentorship, and support to teams to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance. As a recognized subject matter expert, put your knowledge to use to work on complex issues, exercise considerable judgment, and make impactful decisions that shape the operational and business direction of your sub-function. Your leadership, communication, and coaching skills will be instrumental in empowering teams to deliver high-quality solutions efficiently.

Job responsibilities

  • Facilitate the adoption and adaptation of agile methodologies within teams and provide guidance, training, and support to propel continuous improvement and high performance
  • Create an environment of collaboration within the teams that allows for open dialogue and productive solutions for resolving conflicts
  • Enable agile project delivery by facilitating the prioritization of tasks and managing resources to effectively address complex situations to achieve project goals
  • Analyze and interpret policies, identify key barriers, and apply your critical thinking skills to address challenges within the product development lifecycle.
  • Lead and develop a team of Agility Leads while partnering with Product Teams, owning one Scrum team, and collaborating with PALs and Performance Leads to drive consistency and a strong community of practice
  • Co-create and scale playbooks, translate individual contributor strengths into line-of-business capabilities, and align to the continuous improvement roadmap while helping define quarterly planning
  • Ensure backlog readiness by maintaining a pipeline of high-priority, well-defined work for the next 2–3 sprints and managing dependencies through a dedicated board to enable uninterrupted delivery
  • Oversee key delivery artifacts, including quarterly planning prep, team objectives, JIRA board management, and risk tracking to support planning and execution
  • Sustain tools and standards across the team, prepare sprint demo materials for product leader reviews, and measure/enable Agility outcomes aligned with CCB metrics
  • Develop and deliver training on Agile practices (Scrum/Kanban), drive continuous team improvement through a structured backlog, and enhance productivity by leveraging LLMs, streamlining workflows, and removing obstacles
  • Strengthen team collaboration and communication by facilitating retrospectives, planning sessions, and leadership reviews to improve efficiency and outcomes each sprint

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in a relevant domain, with a focus on guiding teams to adopt agile methodologies and practices.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of multiple product development lifecycle stages, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in facilitating group discussions, decision-making processes, and collaborative activities within teams to achieve product goals.
  • Showcase proficiency in agile delivery and agile approaches, with a developing ability to coach teams and strive for continuous improvement and high performance.

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in a relevant domain, with a focus on coaching teams and individuals on agile methodologies and project management
  • 3+ years agile coaching experience
  • Possess advanced knowledge of multiple product development lifecycle stages, methodologies, and best practices, enabling effective guidance and support for teams
  • Display advanced knowledge of agile delivery and multiple agile approaches, including Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming (XP), and scaling frameworks, monitoring agility metrics; with the ability to guide teams through complex projects, emphasizing iterative progress and adaptability
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels within the organization, effectively guiding group discussions and decision-making processes within the domain context

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Formal training on Agile coaching, such as recognized coaching certifications (Kanban, Scrum Master,etc.)
  • Technical/development experience (java/o.o.p. coding, scripting, infrastructure development)
  • Recommended skills include but are not limited to: agile delivery, business acumen, change management, continuous improvement, coaching, internal stakeholder management, strategic thinking, self-study, verbal communication, adaptability, and decision making
