Job Description

OVERVIEW

Our client is seeking an Agile Delivery Manager / Scrum Master to support a digital team within a large enterprise environment.

This role will work closely with developers, QA professionals, product partners, technology teams, and business stakeholders to help teams effectively plan, coordinate, and deliver their work. The successful candidate will have a solid foundation in Agile and Scrum practices, but the most important qualities for this position are strong communication, relationship-building, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

This is an excellent opportunity for an intermediate Scrum Master who is comfortable working within a complex corporate organization and wants to continue developing their Agile delivery and leadership capabilities.

6+ month contract (potential to extend / convert to permanent)

Hourly rate: $40-42 (T4) $46-48 (incorporated)

Hybrid - 2-3 days a week onsite - Toronto Financial District

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as Scrum Master / Agile Delivery Manager for an Agile technology team supporting digital platforms and applications.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Partner with Product Owners, developers, QA teams, architects, and other stakeholders to support effective delivery.
  • Help teams identify and address blockers, dependencies, risks, and delivery challenges.
  • Coordinate across technology and business groups to maintain alignment on priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across multiple teams and functions.
  • Support communication and collaboration between development teams and broader enterprise technology groups.
  • Help maintain visibility into team commitments, progress, dependencies, and upcoming work.
  • Encourage Agile principles and continuous improvement while adapting practices to the needs of the team.
  • Support teams through organizational and process changes.
  • Help create an environment of accountability, collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with other Agile Delivery Managers to support consistent delivery practices across multiple Agile teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Approximately 3–5 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Manager, Agile Project Manager, or similar Agile delivery role.
  • Hands-on experience supporting software development or digital product teams within an Agile environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum principles, ceremonies, and delivery practices.
  • Experience working within a large corporate or enterprise environment strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage relationships and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong facilitation, organization, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Comfortable working with developers, QA professionals, Product Owners, architects, and technology stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand technology initiatives at a high level without needing to be a hands-on technical expert.
  • Experience supporting digital, web, platform, or backend technology teams is an asset.
  • Financial services or banking experience is beneficial but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility and relationships across different levels of an organization.

The strongest candidate will be someone who can confidently navigate a complex organization, build relationships quickly, and keep teams and stakeholders aligned.

Deep technical expertise is not required. While the role works closely with backend and platform development teams, architects and engineers will own the technical decisions. The Agile Delivery Manager's focus is on people, communication, coordination, stakeholder relationships, and effective delivery.

This position requires candidates to be local to the Greater Toronto Area and able to work onsite as part of a hybrid schedule.
