The Agile Delivery Lead helps Agile teams deliver work in a clear, focused, and efficient way. They are responsible for managing the team’s epic delivery plan and making sure work is delivered on time and in line with business goals. This role works closely with program managers and other key stakeholders to keep plans aligned and on track.

The Agile Delivery Lead runs regular Scrum ceremonies to help the team stay organised and focused. They also remove blockers and solve problems that slow down progress. By tracking team performance and driving improvements, they help the team work better together and deliver value to the business.

What you'll be doing

  • Own, maintain, and monitor the epic delivery plan for assigned Agile teams, ensuring timelines, priorities, and scope are clear and achievable

  • Identify and remove delivery impediments and blockers to maintain team momentum and protect sprint commitments

  • Align epic sequencing and delivery timelines with Product, Programme Management, and stakeholder leads

  • Facilitate Agile Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, Refinement) to drive team alignment, focus, and continuous improvement

  • Keep your teams focused on priorities, commitments, and planned deliverables, ensuring work is delivered to the definition of done

  • Track and report delivery performance using Agile metrics to assess team delivery health

  • Maintain accurate delivery data in Jira, including due dates at epic and story level

  • Communicate updates on progress, risks, and delivery status with stakeholders

  • Complete regular roadmap reviews, backlog health checks, and retrospectives to support continuous improvement

  • Support leadership by reinforcing roadmap, priorities, and commitments within the team

Your Experience

  • Technical Project and/or delivery management

  • Risk and dependency management

  • Experience driving Software Agile Teams

  • Clear and effective communication

  • Ownership and accountability / Problem solving focusing on solutions

  • Understanding and use of Agile metrics to monitor team performance

  • Ability to support and facilitate technical discussions when needed

  • Use of Jira to manage and track work

  • Understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban)
