Job Description

Position is only open to work in the Columbus, GA office. Candidates must currently live locally in Columbus, GA to be considered. Candidates in Columbus will work a Hybrid work model of up to 3 days in office.

of This Role

Analyze business requests to be solved with automated systems. Formulate and design automated systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Provide expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that meet user requirements and are within stated sizing estimates. Configure system settings and options; plan and execute business design, assist in integration and acceptance testing, where necessary; and create specifications for system to meet business requirements. Include analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications.

On a day to day basis you will:

  • Work within an agile scrum team to include a ScrumMaster, Product Owner, business analyst, test analysts, application developers and client counterparts to design and deliver new products or capabilities in an iterative, continuous fashion

  • Develop detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, screen mock-ups, flow diagrams, etc. outlining the solution to be implemented

  • Be accountable for assisting in the gathering and verification of non-functional requirements, review of architectures and designs, adherence to standards, and developing and implementing strategies for validating that the target requirements have been adequately addressed

  • Be an active participant in all agile scrum ceremonies

  • Be responsible for maintaining project and system documentation

  • Be a strong advocate for the development team’s priorities and challenge and will push back on scope-creep and negotiate timelines with the product owner

What Are We Looking For in This Role?

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Relevant Experience or Degree in: Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business or related field; or equivalent training or experience in lieu of degree

  • Four-year college degree and 0-2+ years professional experience, or a high school diploma with 2+ years professional experience in coding, designing, developing and analyzing data

  • Professional experience working with end-users to meet business needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Typically Minimum 0-2+ Years Relevant Exp

  • Scripting knowledge, bankcard industry knowledge, understanding data structures, professional experience working with end-users to meet business needs

  • Working towards a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
