The Aggregate Sales Coordinator is responsible for gathering information from customers, members of the Aggregate Sales team, and online resources to retain and grow the existing customer base. This position will coordinate the sales process through Customer Relations Management (CRM) workflow, qualify leads, upsell to current customers, cold call prospective customers, and ensure customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Review all orders from the previous day prior to invoicing to ensure correct pricing, tax, delivery charges, etc.
  • Determine, plan, and implement appropriate projects and opportunities that support the sales team.
  • Develop an understanding of all products and the application of aggregate materials.
  • Review project plans and specifications to know what is required for each project.
  • Set up opportunities by entering updates within CRM.
  • Qualify sales leads and direct them to Outside Sales Representatives for close.
  • Provide quality service by helping customers with questions or concerns, tonnages, timeframes, enter orders for production scheduling, etc.
  • Deliver accurate material quotes in a timely manner.
  • Develop an awareness of all aggregate sources and logistics.
  • Create a project in the ticketing system with quoted pricing.
  • Utilize bidding software to determine potential aggregate opportunities.
  • Engage with the sales team and customers to effectively address their needs.
  • Coordinate product submittals, samples or gradations for customers.
  • Regular, reliable attendance at the worksite or assigned work location.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED and at least three years of customer service experience in sales, administrative, or related role OR Associate’s degree required.
  • Experience in CRM, reading plans, and reading specifications for aggregates preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Familiarity with local contractors a plus
  • Exceptional verbal, written, comprehension and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude that fosters effective relationships.
  • Ability to read, write, and figure mathematical calculations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Advanced efficiency in Excel preferred.
  • Must be professional and courteous when communicating with customers.
  • Willingness to learn new skills as required.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Detail-oriented and able to complete tasks and projects in a timely manner.
  • Available to work nights, overtime, and weekends as required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Lift, push, or pull objects of various dimensions up to 30 lbs. of weight frequently.
  • Ability to perform 80% sedentary work and tolerate prolonged. standing/sitting/walking.
  • Ability to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel.
  • Ability to verbally communicate, hear, and see.
