About the Role

Responsible for driving relationship management / strategic alliances across AIA Agency Force through targeted groups.

Plan and execute business strategies and plans for the Agency Force to achieve the top line targets through new business sales expansion.

Work together with Agency Executive Team in driving the business thru respective areas and sales driven strategies.
Lead and groom a team of Agency’s Channel Managers in achieving the unit goals.

Implement segmentation strategies to growth CS sales and increase the market share in CS business, both in conventional and Takaful space, in the respective area/ regions and targeted groups.

Roles And Responsibilities
OVERALL BUSINESS

  • Manage Life Planners to drive engagement (i.e. Corporate Advisors/ CS Champion Club members, MDRTs, Convention Qualifiers)

  • Activate, grow and drive productivity of Life Planners

  • Work with CS Segment Management to drive adoption for Company-focused initiatives, e.g. Voluntary Solutions (VS) and Corporate Vitality, via intermediaries

  • Collaborate with CS Client Management for VS accounts opening for sales done through Life Planners

  • Generate CS leads through effective lead management from Life Planners

  • Deep understanding of servicing issues and ability to appropriately escalate to Client Management

  • Track sales performance and key initiatives and prepare weekly and monthly sales reports

SEGMENTATION MANAGEMENT

  • Collaborate with Segment Management to plan and execute engagement activities, R&R, campaigns to deepen and foster good relationships with Life Planners

  • Collaborate with AD’s Work Stream or departments to increase adoption and Active Agent/ Productivity of Life Planners

Governance and Compliance

  • Ensuring best ROI and all sales activities comply with relevant governance, regulations and ethical standards

  • Ensure all sales activities comply to relevant Company’s policies and practices on risk identification, management of legal, regulatory and licensing requirements, whilst delivering their best returns

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Support and develop BDE/DOAs under his/her supervision to have capability in the knowledge and skills required for the business.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Education – Diploma or Degree Holder of any study

  • Experience – Minimum 5 years working experience in sales, or insurance / financial related industry

  • Special skills – well conversed in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia; Familial in using Excel and PowerPoint, good presentation skills (one to one or one to many)

  • Managerial skills – has experience in managing a sales team

  • Strong planning and organizational skills

  • Track sales performance and conduct sales coaching

  • Ability to handle Intermediary complaints and/or requests with a sense of urgency

  • Strong exception handling skills

  • Ability to understand requirements of Life Planners and effectively liaise with Client Management

  • Ability to effectively bridge clients of Life Planners with Client Management to drive up-sell/cross-sell

  • Articulate with strong communication skills

  • Good computer skills, preferably in Excel and PowerPoint
