The Illinois Law Enforcement Training & Standards Board invites well qualified candidates to apply for the position of Agency Payroll Coordinator & Timekeeper. Under the direction of the Chief Fiscal Officer, this position serves as the Agency Payroll and State Employee Retirement System (SERS) Coordinator, implementing policy and performing the full range of highly responsible, complex, specialized, and confidential duties relating to the payroll function. As the Agency’s timekeeper, this individual will be responsible for performing the full range of highly responsible, complex, specialized, and confidential duties relating to master timekeeping functions. Additionally, as a fiscal section liaison, this position will be performing skilled supportive backup functions with the Agency Procurement Officer. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be highly organized, develop positive, cooperative working relationships while being capable of multi-tasking to keep up with the demands of a busy and growing agency. ILETSB is conveniently located at the southern edge of downtown Springfield in a beautifully maintained building across from the Lincoln’s Home National Historic Site with free secured parking on-site.
