In this rewarding role, you'll support residents with personal care while encouraging participation in meaningful lifestyle programs, social activities, and one-on-one engagement. You'll help foster connection, promote wellbeing, and create moments that truly matter.

This role based at our Tweed Heads care home, will see you working closely with the nursing and resident engagement teams when performing your resident-centric care duties in a timely and compassionate manner surrounded by highly skilled and supportive senior carers and managers. The attached position description outlines duties and accountabilities for this role - Lifestyle is what is this role is commonly called in the Aged Care sector.

Recruiting for multiple roles in our Tweed Heads Aged Care home!

  • Casual Personal Care Workers (flexibility offered with shifts across 7 days AM + PM shifts predominately available) Seeking candidates with open availability and the ability to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week
  • Permanent Part-time Personal Care Workers (Stable PPT shifts rostered fortnightly across weekdays, predominately AM + PM shifts)
  • Permanent Part-time Personal Carer - Engagement & Wellbeing (Lifestyle Assistant) AM shifts only -6.30am-15.00 & 10.00am -17.30. Week 1 offering Monday, Thursday & Week 2 offering Thursday. Ability to pick up personal care worker shifts alongside PPT Lifestyle shifts.

As we are recruiting for multiple positions, shortlisted candidates will have the opportunity to discuss their role preferences, skills, and experience with our recruitment team during an initial phone screening to determine the opportunity best suited to them

About You

At Infinite Care we hire for heart, so our best people are highly empathic, instil a strong work ethic and passionate about making a difference to the elderly. Ideally, you have worked in the Aged Care sector for at least 1 year and the ability to “think on your feet”, communicate effectively, build rapport, and maintain professional relationships with residents and co-workers alike. In addition, you will also

  • Completed Certificate III in Individual Support, Leisure & Lifestyle, Health Services or similar is relevant for all roles available for Personal Care Worker or Lifestyle Assistant
  • Previous experience in Aged Care as an AIN, Lifestyle or similar role (minimum 12 months preferred)
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (preferred)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (for PAID employment) - or willingness to obtain
  • Understanding of person-centred care and resident wellbeing
  • A positive, energetic, and compassionate approach
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe environment for residents and colleagues
  • A genuine passion for making a difference in aged care
  • Display a positive, fun and confident personality to help our residents (*who sometimes can be very shy) to get involved in lifestyle and group activities. - for Lifestyle Assistant applicants
  • Own vehicle or private transport is a MUST for this role, as public transport is not easily accessible

Infinite Care accepts the Ausmed Passport, which is a free, digital certificate for the Australian aged care workforce that recognises their completion of eight, sector-wide, core mandatory training topics.

Our care roles are busy! Alot of bending, lifting, pushing and squatting to perform your duties safely. All candidates will be required to complete an online medical assessment to maintain personal and workplace safety standards.
