Angott Search Group is partnering with a well-established community bank in Montana to identify an experienced Agricultural Loan Officer to join their growing lending team. The Ag Loan Officer will be responsible for developing and managing agricultural lending relationships, including production agriculture, equipment financing, real estate, and operating lines of credit. The ideal candidate will combine strong credit analysis skills with a passion for working directly with producers and rural businesses.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and grow a portfolio of agricultural lending relationships

• Prospect new business opportunities within the local farming and ranching community

• Structure and analyze agricultural loan requests including operating lines, equipment, livestock, and real estate loans

• Conduct financial analysis and credit underwriting to ensure sound loan quality

• Monitor portfolio performance and manage risk appropriately

• Maintain strong relationships with customers by providing consultative financial solutions

• Participate in community and agricultural events to support business development

Qualifications

• 3+ years of agricultural lending or related credit experience

• Knowledge of agricultural operations including crop and livestock financing

• Strong credit analysis and financial statement interpretation skills

• Proven ability to develop new business and manage client relationships

• Understanding of agricultural markets and rural communities

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Agriculture Business, or related field preferred
