Job Description
The Aftermarket Custom Shop Senior Buyer will be responsible for managing sourcings, contract execution and supplier performance for all North America Custom Shops (Windsor in Canada, Sterling Heights, Warren and Toledo in the US, Saltillo and Toluca in Mexico).
The Aftermarket Custom Shop Senior Buyer will interact with various stakeholders at Stellantis (Engineering, Program Team, Supplier Quality, Supplier Risk Management, Purchasing Finance, Accounting, Cost Engineers, Custom Shop Operations) in order to coordinate the various actions to manage Request for Quotations, Contract Execution and Maintenance.
Functional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare and manage RFQ (request for quotation) activity by leveraging the suppliers’ bid list and aligning to strategic objectives
- Perform supplier negotiations to drive best in class results
- Make supplier Recommendation (REC) during Sourcing Table decision meetings
- Generate the Purchase Agreement (contract) in line with the supplier selection made (REC)
- Identify potential new suppliers
- Prepare, manage, execute potential resourcing activities (including cross functional collaboration)
- Support campaigns / recalls as needed to ensure appropriate purchasing action
- Manage and negotiate purchasing performance through execution of contractual requirements (e.g., productivity) and negotiating/monitoring the whole set of available leverages like commercial performance (including commercial claims), and Monozokuri, Value Optimization (VO)
- Manage reporting requirements (eg: Performance roadmap, Resource Activity, etc.)
- Coordinate with Aftermarket marketing/planning to enhance profitability, Aftermarket quality and custom shops operations to ensure flawless builds, as well as with engineering, supply chain management and finance to support business operations
- Work with suppliers, accessories buyers, supply chain and custom shops operations to ensure prompt resolution to supply issues, including Vehicle’s off road (VOR’s) and Backorders, ensuring suppliers provide parts as required and Custom Shops honors build schedule
- Manage assigned suppliers, including but not limited to timely resolution of issues, ensure supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery, etc.), and escalation as needed
- Manage the administrative work attached to these activities (Purchase orders, amendments, etc)

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics, or closely related field
- 8 + years of purchasing experience or closely related field
- Strong communication skills and highly customer focused
- Strong fluency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Well organized, self-motivated, and resourceful managing complex situations
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and can effectively interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of senior management
- Excellent analytical and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP
- Experience in the automotive industry
- Experience working in a global environment
