Mission:

The Aftermarket Account Manager will be the primary point of contact for Loftin Equipment Company with external customers to facilitate the sale of Maintenance Agreements. This hands-on customer facing role allows for the improvement of communication with our customers and the ability to identify and meet their needs more rapidly and precisely. The main function of the role is the selling of Maintenance Agreements, and h the ability to sell replacement equipment, quoted repairs (time and materials), and rental equipment.

Expectations:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily including the following.

  • Expand Loftin's reach by selling maintenance agreements, quoted service repairs, rental equipment, industrial sales, and value-based maintenance programs within the assigned Area of Responsibility (AOR).
  • Collaborate with the aftermarket team to identify newly started units and solicit customers for potential maintenance agreements, aiming for a 30% conversion rate.
  • Utilize Loftin-mandated tools to track progress and achieve sales goals.
  • Partner with the estimating team on all large projects.
  • Serve as the account manager for major accounts and those assigned by the Sr. Strategic Operations Manager.
  • Ensure all team members adhere to safety procedures on a daily basis.
  • Consistently deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Mentor and coach newly added team members to aid in their development.
  • Analyze customer data to develop tailored plans and manage a CRM database.
  • Perform job walks, meet customers, and identify needs to create solutions.
  • Engage in external sales activities and build internal/external relationships.
  • Resolve issues promptly and adapt strategies to customer dynamics.
  • Maintain documentation (sales reports, site visits, quotes).
  • Identify expansion opportunities and recommend relevant initiatives or services.
  • Enhance the department’s reputation by taking on new tasks and adding value.
  • Track progress and explore new business opportunities using company tools.
  • Provide sales updates and submit reports on agreements, repairs, and new equipment.
  • Communicate obstacles or resource needs proactively.
  • Update on current sales and the sales pipeline.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience/Education:

  • 5-10 years of experience, preferably in a related industry, with 3-5 years of customer-facing sales experience.
  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's in Business, or equivalent relevant work experience, preferred
  • Highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office 360 and other Microsoft products/systems. Strong technical aptitude, including ability to learn new systems quickly and train/support team in adoption.
  • Highly Accountable and a self-starter.
  • Strong reasoning, analytical, and mathematic skills.
