Responsible for ensuring quality standards and uniform practices in the After School and Summer Camp
programs. Accomplished this by engaging in routine monitoring, assuring that site leaders and staff adhere to state
and established program standards. Oversee, operations and activities at all school sites.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must

1. Develop and lead an overall vision for Aftercare and Summer Camp program quality and success.2. Oversee the After School and Summer Camp program regulatory operations. a. Accountable for knowing and understanding department, school, childcare licensing(CDHS), and local health department regulations and guidelines.b. Perform on-site audits of program operations and files, identifying areas of risk fornoncompliance.c. Work with Site Leaders to resolve discrepancies in standards, policies, practices andprocedures.d. Monitor Site Leaders’ compliance activities, including violations, complaints andresponses.e. Must be present at the center at least 60% of the day.f. Audit each site’s child and employee files for compliance.g. Complete financial records and reports. They may include, but are not limited to,purchase reconciliations, budgeting, billing, collecting tuition payments, preparingdeposits, Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP), and following-up on delinquentaccounts.h. Provide research and reports for the department as requested.i. Maintain up-to-date employee and family handbooks.3. With assistance from Site Leaders, develop and administer ongoing staff meetings andtrainings to all program employees.a. Alert site leaders and staff of any changes to policies and procedures.b. Provide continuing education opportunities to employees to aide in completing their15 hours required continuing education training per year.4. Fill in for any absent staff ‘as needed to maintain staff/child ratios.5. When working directly with the children, follow program policies and procedures.a. Monitor to ensure daily safety of children, maintain staff-to-child ratio, name to faceattendance, and effectively handle student discipline.b. Provide positive behavior support to students as needed.6. Assist Site leaders with ordering and purchasing supplies and snacks as needed.7. Audit each site to ensure that they are implementing age-appropriate activities forstudents that engage students in educational and enrichment activities that includemath, literacy, science, games, outdoor time.8. Monitor each site’s employee schedules and monitor and perform the needs of theschools time clock system.9. Communicate program information and respond to phone calls, e-mails and writtencorrespondence to school administration, staff and parents.10. Attend and participate in assigned meetings.11. Maintain CPR/1st aide and medication certification. Distribute medication to students asdirected. Provide general First Aid when needed.12. Review and inform site leaders and staff of any 504 Plans and IEPs to ensurecompliance.13. After school program, Policy and Procedures must be reviewed within one-month ofhire.14. Perform other duties as assigned by your direct supervisor.
