Smart North at the Community Tech Hub is looking for licensed teachers from ISD 318 and ISD 317 to support youth programming at the Grand Rapids and Deer River Community Tech Hubs.

Position Overview:

Licensed teachers will help support youth ages 12�20 during Wednesday evening Tech Hub programming. This role is focused on helping create a safe, welcoming, and productive learning environment where students can get academic support, build leadership skills, and take part in structured youth voice and student council activities. The licensed teacher will help lead and support Wednesday council meetings, assist with building a strong student council structure, and provide academic tutoring or homework help for students who need support with schoolwork.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support and help facilitate Wednesday youth council meetings.
• Help develop a strong student council model within the Tech Hub.
• Encourage youth voice, leadership, decision-making, and ownership of the space.
• Provide academic tutoring and homework support as needed.
• Help youth stay engaged, supported, and connected to school success.
• Work with Tech Hub staff to support youth ages 12�20.
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment.
• Support positive relationships between students, staff, schools, and community partners.
• Assist with activities, projects, and student support during Wednesday evening programming.
• Communicate student needs, concerns, or successes with Tech Hub leadership as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensed teacher in Minnesota
• Experience working with middle school and/or high school students
• Comfortable supporting youth ages 12�20
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Interest in youth leadership, student voice, tutoring, mentoring, and after-school programming
• Ability to work collaboratively with Tech Hub staff, school staff, and community partners

Compensation will follow the appropriate district after-school / extended-day licensed teacher pay structure as budgeted through the program. $30-34 per hour
