After School Cleaner Required – Ashbourne, DE6 2EG

Monday to Friday – 12.5 hours per week Primarily Term Time Only – occasional deep cleaning may be required during school holidays 3:30pm – 6:00pm

We are looking for a reliable, professional and hardworking After School Cleaner to join our team at a school in Ashbourne, DE6 2EG

This is a hands-on, active cleaning role and would suit someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils and staff.

The role is ideal if you prefer practical work, like staying active and want a clear start and finish to your working day, with no desk work, no emails and nothing to take home at the end of your shift

Hours of Work

• Monday to Friday
• 3:30pm – 6:00pm
• 2.5 hours per day
• 12.5 hours per week
• Most likely term time only
• Occasional additional deep cleaning may be required during school holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the school
• Completing daily cleaning tasks across designated areas
• Carrying out occasional deep-cleaning duties during school holidays when required
• Using cleaning equipment and machinery where necessary
• Ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed thoroughly and to the required standard
• Reporting any maintenance, cleaning or site issues to management
• Working safely and in accordance with company procedures

Requirements

• Must be able to reliably travel to Ashbourne, DE6 2EG (own transport advantageous)
• Previous cleaning experience is essential
• Good reliability and timekeeping
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of COSHH is desirable
• Experience using floor machines is preferred
• At least one reference from a previous employer

Pay & Benefits

• £13.25 per hour
• Permanent position
• 12.5 hours per week during term time
• Primarily term time only, with occasional deep-cleaning shifts during school holidays
