Syntegon Technology Ltd., based in Derby, UK, is part of the Syntegon Group. In Derby we manage all service activities in the UK and Ireland for both the food and pharmaceutical customers.

Your responsibilities & tasks

This role is focused on driving after-sales service sales and system modernization across the UK and Ireland, combining commercial ambition with technical understanding. You will spend the majority of your time in direct customer engagement, managing offers and orders in SAP and keeping accurate opportunity and forecast records in the CRM. Tip: when describing your achievements, quantify sales outcomes (conversion rates, contract values, renewal rates) and mention concrete examples of closed service contracts or successful modernization projects.

• Promote and sell after sales service solutions and system modernization to meet sales target by understanding customers’ business challenges, in the UK and Ireland.
• Prepare, offers in SAP and follow-up quotations to secure orders.
• Maintain accurate opportunity records, clear action plans and reliable monthly/quarterly/yearly forecasts in the CRM system.
• Negotiate service contract terms and ensure closure of contract
• Use CRM tools to enhance sales, achieve maximum on lead conversion, and follow up.
• Spend over 60% of your time in direct customer engagement in the field

Qualifications

Your profile and qualifications

We are looking for a candidate who combines at least five years of after-sales service experience in the UK with practical SAP and CRM skills, industry relevance and strong commercial and negotiation abilities. A background in the packaging industry (or similar capital equipment sectors), understanding of maintenance strategies and demonstrable service sales impact will make your application stand out. • 4 Must-Haves:
  • At least 5 years’ experience in after sales service management,
  • Experience in the packaging industry, or from similar capital equipment manufacturers
  • Your service experience must have been acquired in the UK
  • Practical experience with SAP and CRM systems.
• Degree in Engineering/Technical or Business, or equivalent experience.
• Clear understanding of maintenance strategies and operational efficiencies.
• Strong communication, objection-handling and negotiation skills
