We have multiple opportunities available for Schedulers to join our Defence division and support us in this new contract. These will be offered as casual positions that could be based at any of the main bases in the Northern Territory or South Australia, or from our Melbourne Head Office on Collins Street.

About the role
You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely coordination of corrective maintenance (CM) and preventive maintenance (PM) activities across multiple defence bases in your allocated region. You will play a crucial part for maintaining the operational readiness and overall effectiveness of defence assets by meticulously planning and scheduling maintenance.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Coordinating with maintenance teams, contractors, and suppliers to confirm that all resources and materials are available for scheduled maintenance tasks.
Collaborating with the Planning & Scheduling Manager to continuously improve maintenance planning processes and strategies.
Generating and distributing detailed maintenance schedules and reports to relevant stakeholders.
Monitoring, maintaining and adjusting schedules as necessary to accommodate unexpected maintenance requirements and changed in operational priorities.
Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, completion times, and resource allocations.
Utilising maintenance management software to track and analyse maintenance performance and ensure compliance with safety guidelines and identify areas for improvement.
Providing regular updates and feedback to the Planning & Scheduling Manager on the status of scheduled maintenance activities.
This role will be operating under After-Hours over a 7 day rostered week.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience in a similar scheduling or coordination role, preferably within defence or a similar complex, multi-site environment.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Exposure to corrective maintenance and preventative maintenance services is highly desirable.
Proficiency in using maintenance management software and other scheduling tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Qualifications in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field are highly desirable.
You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
