COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Pay: $17-$20/hour, based on active hours worked. (Active work time includes managing calls, coordinating caregiver coverage, resolving scheduling issues, and providing direct client care when needed) on call pay is $3/hour (this is paid for each shift worked)

Schedule: every 3rd weekend: Friday at 4pm to Monday at 8am. Additional weekday evening/night coverage as needed: 4pm to 8am. Holiday rotation coverage required, occasional additional after-hours coverage may be available.

The On-Call Scheduler plays a critical role in ensuring our clients receive uninterrupted care outside of regular office hours. This position is responsible for managing caregiver call-offs, coordinating replacement coverage, communicating with clients and caregivers, and making real-time decisions to support safe and reliable care.
The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, organized, and able to work independently while handling time-sensitive situations. This person must be comfortable communicating by phone with clients, families, and caregivers while providing excellent customer service and maintaining a positive attitude.
In rare situations involving a critical client shift where all other staffing options have been exhausted, the On-Call Scheduler must be willing and able to report to the client’s home and provide care to ensure the client is not left without support.
This position supports clients throughout the Sioux Falls, Brookings, Vermillion, and Mitchell areas.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

On-Call Management: Respond promptly to caregiver call-offs and manage shift scheduling during after-hours.

Shift Coordination: Secure replacement caregivers for open shifts to ensure uninterrupted client care.

Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with caregivers, clients, and management.

Record Keeping: Document all call-offs, schedule changes, and shift coverage details accurately.
QUALIFICATIONS
- **WELLSKY SCHEDULING EXPERIENCE ENCOURAGED!!!!!

Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D certificate preferred.

Experience: 1 year of caregiving experience or relevant certifications (CNA, HHA, HCA, PCA preferred but not required).

Background Check: Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
