
DEFINITION
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides strategic financial leadership for the organization and is responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including financial planning, capital management, accounting oversight, risk management, banking relationships, and financial strategy. This position is a key executive leadership role and partners with the Chief Executive Officer and ownership to drive long-term financial performance, growth, and sustainability of the organization. The CFO ensures the integrity of financial information while providing insight and guidance to support strategic business decisions across all operating companies.

This position reports directly to Ownership / Chief Executive Officer.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
This position provides executive oversight of the Controller, Finance Department, and all financial-related functions across all company locations.

Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Deep knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, financial planning, and corporate finance.
Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, cost accounting, and multi-location financial management.
Knowledge of capital markets, banking, credit structures, and financing strategies.
Strong strategic thinking and business acumen with ability to translate financial data into actionable business decisions.
Advanced leadership skills with ability to guide senior leaders and influence organizational direction.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and complex problem-solving abilities.
Ability to evaluate enterprise risk and develop mitigation strategies.
Strong communication and presentation skills, including ability to communicate with ownership, Board members, and external stakeholders.
Proficiency with financial systems, ERP platforms, and advanced financial modeling tools
Ability to lead organizational change and drive cross-functional alignment.
Strong negotiation skills with external financial institutions and partners.
High level of judgment and decision-making capability in complex and high-impact situations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
(a) Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s Degree preferred; and
(b) Ten (10) to fifteen (15)+ years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience, including Controller or senior finance leadership roles in a manufacturing or multi-location environment; and
(c) CPA required; MBA preferred; and
(d) Demonstrated experience in capital planning, financial strategy, and multi-entity financial oversight; or
(e) Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
· Ability to prepare and present financial statements, board-level reports, strategic analysis, and executive presentations.
· Ability to communicate effectively with ownership, executive leadership, auditors, banks, all advisors, and external stakeholders.
· Strong negotiation, facilitation, and executive communication skills.
· Ability to translate complex financial information into clear business insights for non-financial stakeholders.
