The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience is looking for an affiliate faculty for in-person teaching of PSY 454 Cognitive Psychology. This class focuses on psychological processes such as attention, memory, problem solving, and language and examines current research, data, theories, and applications.
The course will be taught in the Fall 2026 semester, running from August 24 – December 13. The class meets in-person on Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:30-10:45am.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Affiliate faculty are required to meet in-person with the class, as scheduled, and hold 1 hour of office hours per week. Faculty will participate in designing their own course in consultation with the chair of the department.
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Psychology or related field.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous teaching experience and expertise in cognitive psychology.

This position is benefits-eligible for workers’ compensation and will receive 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.
