The Department of Chemistry seeks affiliates who can teach in person and online lectures and laboratory classes in a variety of chemistry areas, which include the following:
In person instruction
1. CH 206A – Chemistry for the Health-Related Sciences (3 teaching credits)
2. CH 207A – Chemistry for the Health-Related Sciences Laboratory (2 teaching credits)
3. CH 210 – General Chemistry I Lecture (4 teaching credits)
4. CH 211 – General Chemistry I Laboratory (2 teaching credits)
Online instruction
5. CH 206A – Chemistry for the Health-Related Sciences (3 teaching credits)
6. CH 207A – Chemistry for the Health-Related Sciences Laboratory (1 teaching credit)
Please note Affiliate Faculty are hired to teach on a per credit hour basis for specific classes, as needed, on a semester-by- semester basis.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide instruction in assigned classes consistent with the content and learning objectives of the regular course syllabus and, if appropriate, with Department course coordination policies.
Keep complete and accurate grade records.
Evaluate student performance.
Maintain regular office hours to provide students with academic support appropriate for the teaching assignment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree or equivalent in Chemistry or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctorate in Chemistry or a related field
Relevant teaching experience
Work Schedule Will be dependent on the course schedule and availability of selected candidates.

This position is benefits-eligible for workers’ compensation and will receive 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.
Pay Rate:
$3,225 per 3-credit course, $2,150 per 2-credit course, $1,075 per 1-credit course
