Shift Schedules:

6:00 AM/PM – 6:00 PM/AM; Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday

OR

6:00 AM/PM – 6:00 PM/AM; Every other Wednesday, Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Our schedule gives you:

  • 3-day and 4-day workweeks
  • More days off throughout the year
  • Approximately 8 hours of built-in overtime every pay period
  • Additional overtime opportunities available

What You'll Do

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine, preventive and breakdown maintenance to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the Aurora site. You'll play a critical role in helping us deliver quality products to our customers while supporting our commitment to operational excellence.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Adherence to all safety policies.
  • System troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical.
  • Preventive maintenance of equipment.
  • Solid understanding of rotating equipment and related mechanical equipment.
  • General knowledge of welding.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Desire for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Following established safety, quality, and operating procedures.
  • Supporting 5S workplace organization and housekeeping standards.
  • Learning and incorporating the Ensign-Bickford Operating System (EBOS)
  • Working knowledge of electrical circuits and various voltage.
  • Working knowledge of electrical safety codes.
  • Basic computer skills with familiarity in PLC systems and controls.
  • Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing any work area and equipment where maintenance has been performed, or in accordance with supervisory instructions, including any Critical Control Points, in accordance with the plant food safety requirements.
  • Cleans and Maintains work area in accordance with the Master Cleaning Schedule.
  • Studies and signs off on HACCP training in accordance with the plant food safety requirements.
  • Other duties may be required at the supervisor or management request.
  • General knowledge of pneumatics & hydraulics

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 2-4 years manufacturing experience required, food grade preferred
  • Ability to regularly stand and lift at least 70lbs in a dusty environment with fluctuating temperature.
  • Strong computer skills require
  • Required to work 12-hour shifts
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to follow and adhere to procedures regarding attendance, job tasks, safety and quality.
  • Ability to problem-solve and deal with ambiguity
