What you'll do

Pioneer Human Services is seeking an experienced Aerospace Program Manager to lead customer-facing program coordination for assigned aerospace manufacturing accounts.

This high-accountability individual-contributor role serves as the primary link between customers and internal teams. The Aerospace Program Manager ensures customer requirements, contractual commitments, delivery priorities, quality expectations, and revenue assumptions are clearly understood; provides accurate program visibility; identifies and escalates risks; coordinates cross-functional action; and maintains disciplined communication with customers and internal leadership.

The successful candidate is a proactive, data-driven program leader who can manage competing priorities, translate customer needs into actionable internal priorities, coordinate recovery efforts, maintain reliable forecasts, and influence execution across Planning, Production, Quality, Purchasing, Shipping and Receiving, and Finance.

The role monitors delivery, quality, schedule, and financial performance as critical program-health indicators and is accountable for timely communication, risk escalation, action management, and recovery-plan coordination. Overall delivery, quality, and financial outcomes are achieved through shared cross-functional execution.

PRIMARY/ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned aerospace customers and build trusted, professional customer relationships.
  • Own visibility and coordination of assigned customer programs from order receipt through shipment, including open-order status, delivery commitments, customer reporting, issue resolution, and follow-up.
  • Lead regular customer and internal program-status meetings; communicate program performance, risks, recovery plans, priorities, and action items.
  • Monitor open orders, production schedules, material availability, supplier commitments, quality status, capacity constraints, and shipment readiness to protect customer delivery commitments.
  • Translate customer requirements and changing priorities into clear internal actions; coordinate with Planning, Production, Quality, Purchasing, and other teams to drive execution.
  • Identify, communicate, and escalate risks related to delivery, capacity, quality, materials, suppliers, engineering changes, inventory, and customer requirements.
  • Develop and maintain recovery plans for late orders, shortages, quality issues, and other challenges affecting customer commitments.
  • Establish and lead cross-functional New Product Introduction (NPI) meetings and readiness activities for new programs, products, and customer launches.
  • Prepare and manage customer-specific reports, portals, scorecards, forecasts, and other required communications at the appropriate cadence.
  • Develop and maintain rolling sales, backlog, shipment, and revenue projections for assigned accounts; identify and communicate forecast changes, revenue risks, and business opportunities.
  • Use ERP/MRP and operational data to monitor program performance, support decision-making, and improve visibility, data quality, and execution.
  • Partner with Finance/Accounting to resolve invoicing discrepancies, validate forecast assumptions, and address commercial or documentation-related issues.
  • Support continuous-improvement efforts that strengthen customer responsiveness, on-time delivery, quality performance, forecasting accuracy, and cross-functional execution.

What you'll bring (required qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Finance, Project Management, or a related field; equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in aerospace, defense, precision manufacturing, or another complex and regulated manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in program management, project management, customer account management, production planning, supply chain operations or a closely related role in manufacturing.

Preferably you'll bring (preferred/desirable qualifications):

  • PMP, CAPM, Lean Six Sigma, APICS/ASCM, or similar professional certification.
