Job Description

The MRO Support Manager will be responsible for managing all technical support and engineering/maintenance activities within our Part 145 MRO shop. This role ensures repair, testing and capability development are performed safely, efficiently and in compliance with airworthiness regulations, OEM standards and customer requirements.

What You Can Expect of the Role

  • You’ll lead a team of engineers to develop new repair capabilities and approve technical documentation, including repair procedures, work instructions, and process specifications, based on OEM approved data or alternative means of compliances.
  • You’ll lead the maintenance team to execute maintenance activities that will improve equipment reliability.
  • You’ll provide technical (MRO Solutions) and maintenance support to the shop for component and equipment inspection, repair, and testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team in driving continuous improvement projects and achieving company’s strategic objectives.
  • Liaise with OEM and contractors/sub-contractors to support MRO development projects, technical issues, approvals and audits.
  • Coordinate with OEM design/DER/DOA teams for approval of non-standard repairs and deviations.
  • Lead the Innovation initiatives and manage new capability development project investments (new component types, test benches or repair processes).
  • Train and mentor engineers on technical and regulatory topics
  • Review and Approve repair/test instructions and engineering orders
  • Manage projects timeline and budget (LIP Investments)
  • Achieve zero audit findings related to technical procedures
  • Achieve zero SPOF (single point of failure) equipment downtime
  • Any other duties as assigned.

What We Expect of You

  • Engineering degree in the field of Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 7+ years’ engineering experience related to aviation repair or aviation industry environment
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity
  • Possess a broad knowledge of theory, principles and practical application of key management tools, such as project planning, risk assessment, statistics, and statistical process control.
  • Good understanding of the relevant Airworthiness regulations (FAA, EASA, CAAS, CAAC) Part 145 requirements
  • Strong knowledge in technical documents (such as CMMs, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical schematics), process qualification & capability certification.
  • Proficient in IT applications, such as ERP/SAP, MS Office, Power BI, etc.
  • Good knowledge of quality systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong technical and analytical ability
