Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) has an exciting opportunity for an Aeronautical System Integration Test (ASIT) Senior Manager to join our team in Berkeley, MO
The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing ASIT execution and operations for BT&E Air Dominance, Phantom Works, and Weapons Programs. The scope of responsibility includes System/Aircraft Integration Labs (SIL/AIL), Flight Simulators, and Vehicle Management System (VMS) Labs. The position also works closely with the BT&E ASIT Enterprise Capability Leader on functional excellence. The position reports to the BT&E Lab Test Engineering Director for Air Dominance, Phantom Works and Weapons Programs.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage employees and first-level managers performing engineering and technical activities
Ensure safe, high quality, innovative and efficient execution of lab test activities
Develop and execute integrated technical road maps, policies and procedures, and provide input on organizational business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
Assist with hiring and acquiring resources to support program execution; plan and manage all resources/skills, through Adaptative Planning and RPPT/forecasting tools
Manage, integrate, and communicate status of test work statement commitments and performance, including cost/EAC, schedule, technical, and safety; with demonstrated use of performance to plan metrics
Advocate for lab test needs with the TPM/Customer, Program, BT&E Capabilities, Supplier Management, Facilities, peers, stakeholders, customers, and direct reports
Coordinate and advocate for investments needed for program execution (technology development, facilities, capital, equipment, etc.) and supports funding approval activities
Strong Risk, Issue and Opportunity (RIO) Management and Earned Value Management skills with the demonstrated ability to lead test execution
Coordination, integration, and communication abilities that facilitate effective leadership across cross-functional teams and various diverse facilities
An aptitude for results with a focus on performance, cost management, safety and quality
Strong natural leadership style that moves people to act, motivates and inspires excellence and innovation
Develop and perpetuate a team culture of transparency, collaboration and inclusion
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Berkeley, MO.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
3+ years of experience in leading technical teams
3+ years of experience with financial planning, resource planning and cost management activities
Experience leading projects or programs utilizing Earned Value management and RIO management to drive program performance
Experience with schedule and budget management, integration of all logistics elements, customer communication, as well as understanding of execution of program planning to ensure cost, schedule and technical baseline requirements are met
Strong business and strategic planning skills
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active
MBA or equivalent
Experience integrating and testing aircraft electronic systems
