Job Description

This is not a traditional region-only product champion role. It is a broadened leadership role intended to provide global direction for Aero Product Champion activities while remaining close enough to the work to directly support live opportunities, customer discussions, and handoffs where needed. The role is expected to both lead the global product champion agenda and step into selected day-to-day product champion responsibilities as required, particularly during transitions, coverage gaps, strategic pursuits, or periods of elevated commercial demand.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the team leader for Aero new units product strategy and technical sales positioning, with accountability for shaping how GE Vernova is represented across major markets.
  • Own the global product champion agenda by helping prioritize opportunities, identifying target market segments, and aligning regional demand with the highest-value commercial opportunities for aeroderivative gas turbines.
  • Act as a senior technical and commercial advisor to Aero sales leaders during Pre-ITO and ITO phases, guiding machine selection, plant configuration, performance positioning, grid-fit logic, and competitor differentiation.
  • Provide direct product champion support on priority pursuits when needed, including stepping into selected responsibilities that would otherwise sit with a regional product champion or technical sales specialist
  • Maintain continuity on active opportunity development by providing coverage during transitions, supporting deal handovers, and helping ensure no loss of momentum on strategic regional pursuits.
  • Lead the development of region-specific go-to-market strategies based on market dynamics, policy changes, data center demand, peaking and grid-firming needs, decarbonization trends, and customer procurement behaviors.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with utilities, developers, EPCs, IPPs, consultants, regulators, and key partners globally, while leveraging a North America base to stay closely connected to priority growth opportunities and internal leadership rhythms

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • 8+ years of experience in Product Management or Application engineering or project management or commercial development
  • Background in aero derivative products and solutions and competitors
  • Ability to assess impact of price, schedule, configuration, and performance decisions on customers, market and investors.
  • Ability to synthesize market signals into strategic recommendations for leadership
  • Approximately 25-50% domestic and international travel.

Desired Characteristics

  • Prior experience leading across regions or working successfully in a matrixed global organization
  • Understanding of gas turbine competitors and reciprocating engine technologies
  • Ability to articulate full value proposition of aero derivative gas turbine solutions
  • Experience with local energy markets and relationship with local EPCs, IPPs, developers, regulatory and environmental agencies.
  • Knowledgeable of power generation industry trends and competition
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
