IIndirect Lead Material buyer will be responsible for management of indirect material for Aero Alliance Avenza Service Shop (Italy). She/He will report to the Strategic Facilities Leader in the Avenza Shop organization. This role is a permanent full-time position.
As Indirect Lead Material buyer, you will be responsible for:
Collecting Shop and Facilities & Maintenance requirements for commodity requests, and participating in prioritizing projects to meet delivery and cash targets
Partnering with Shop and F&M teams to define needs and with Strategic Sourcing teams to ensure adherence to process in negotiation of framework agreements
Driving end-to-end process improvement actions for indirect material procurement, identifying cost-saving opportunities
Supporting sustainability projects and green procurement initiatives for the Avenza Shop
Analyzing the market, identifying and onboarding new suppliers in compliance with Sourcing Policy
Placing purchase orders to secure delivery within required cost and timing targets, managing risk and any disputes/claims that arise
Managing relationships with suppliers for frame agreements/purchase orders fulfillment
Monitoring supplier performances and providing KPI’s
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in economics or equivalent from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma) or equivalent knowledge or work experience
Proven experience in Procurement and Sourcing, with deep knowledge of ERP system
Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
Flexibility in a dynamic environment.
Proven experience in the aviation or oil and gas industry, or industrial background
Fluency in Italian and in English, in writing and speaking.
