Job Description

At monday.com, we help teams get more work done. We are the best AI work platform that empowers teams to automate, build, and scale their impact end-to-end with tools that actually execute the work for you. With over $1B in ARR, 250,000+ customers, and a global team, we’re serious about building a product people love to use and giving our employees the same ownership and flexibility to shape the way the world works.

The AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) Lead is a specialized strategic role dedicated to ensuring monday.com is the primary, authoritative source of truth across the emerging AI landscape. You will act as the central orchestrator between SEO, Content, Product, and Engineering to ensure our brand is correctly cited and highly visible within Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT and Gemini, as well as AI search features like Google’s AI Overviews.

As a visionary strategist and expert project manager, you understand the mechanics of how AI processes information without needing to be a developer yourself. You excel at translating AI trends into actionable roadmaps, ensuring our cross-functional teams work in harmony to maintain topical authority and drive brand recognition across all generative engines.

About The Role

  • AEO Strategy & Standards: Define and lead the global AEO strategy, set content standards (schema, Q&A formats, structured data) for the SEO team, and run continuous testing to maximize monday.com’s visibility in AI-generated answers.
  • Authority & Off-Page Ownership: Own monday.com’s presence on G2, Wikipedia, Reddit, Quora, and YouTube SEO, and lead external link building to build monday.com as a trusted source of truth for LLMs.
  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Act as the primary bridge between SEO, Content, Product, and Engineering — translating AI search trends into a clear, actionable roadmap and aligning stakeholders on AEO best practices.
  • Community & Brand Visibility: Partner with automation and content leads to scale community engagement on Reddit, YouTube, and LinkedIn at scale.
  • Technical Agent Protocols: Collaborate with the Agents team to define and implement technical agent protocols on the site, ensuring monday.com is correctly represented and accessible across AI agent ecosystems.
  • Performance Tracking & Insights: Define KPIs for AEO and authority activities, track progress via tools like Profound, and report on how generative search visibility impacts overall business growth.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in Technical SEO or Digital Strategy.
  • Expert project management skills, with a proven ability to lead complex, cross-team initiatives.
  • Deep AI literacy: understands how LLMs and AI-driven search engines process, rank, and cite web content.
  • Strong communicator capable of translating AI concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset — proficient in SEO tools (GSC, Ahrefs, SEMrush) and BI tools (Tableau, Looker) to measure and prove ROI.
  • Hands-on experience with authority platforms: G2, Wikipedia, Reddit, Quora, and YouTube SEO.
  • Familiarity with structured data, schema markup, and content formats that maximize AI engine extraction.
  • Proven experience in link building: identifying high-authority targets, managing outreach, and aligning acquisition with brand citation goals.

What monday.com can offer you:

  • Opportunity to join an innovative, proven company with big ambitions, competitive salary and benefits, bonus potential, and some roles are eligible to take part in the company equity incentive program
  • A team that values transparency and collaboration while having fun while we work
  • Monthly stipends for food, wellness, and commuter/remote work
  • Fully dedicated learning and development team that provides opportunities for employees to grow, gain new skills, master AI tools, and participate in workshops
  • Award winning work environment - named a "Best Place to Work" by Built In as well as "Great Place To Work" certified.
  • We foster diversity, inclusion, and belonging through our Employee Resource Groups in addition to providing access to resources and education to support our team, facilitate conversations, and encourage understanding
  • A global work environment with employees in New York, Tel Aviv, London, Sydney, São Paulo, Tokyo, and more
