
AEGIS Fleet Readiness Ship Liaison

JSL Technologies is seeking an AEGIS Fleet Readiness Ship Liaison to provide engineering, technical, and supportability analysis support for TICONDEROGA (CG 47) Class cruisers, ARLEIGH BURKE (DDG 51) Class destroyers, and Aegis Shore sites. The Ship Liaison serves as a direct advocate for assigned AEGIS units within the technical community by coordinating Fleet requests, monitoring readiness issues, and driving technical and logistics actions to resolution.
• Maintain daily contact with assigned AEGIS units and serve as a primary conduit for Ship’s Force technical and logistical requests.
• Coordinate responses to Fleet requests and drive reported issues to resolution by engaging Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Program Manager Representatives (PMRs), waterfront stakeholders, and other technical support organizations.
• Provide after-hours and weekend support for emergent requests affecting operational missions when required.
• Track and report Casualty Reports (CASREPs) and overall AEGIS equipment status on a daily basis.
• Verify parts status for Whiskey requisitions using designated logistics and readiness tools, including Priority Material Office (PMO), OneTouch, and related systems as applicable.
• Identify logistical obstacles, coordinate support actions, and maintain current readiness information in the Fleet Readiness Database.
• Review daily AEGISTT 24/7 Distance Support watch reports and coordinate with watchstanders to ensure Fleet requests are being tracked and actioned.
• Assess operational and mission readiness impacts in coordination with SMEs and provide recommendations to improve Fleet readiness.
• Develop, update, and present readiness status briefings by interfacing with ships, department technical experts, and the broader logistics and technical community.
• Ensure department and program support activities comply with established policies, procedures, guidelines, and overall program objectives.
• Apply for and maintain SIPR access and use classified systems appropriately to support Fleet readiness and reporting requirements.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need of employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance level Secret.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SIPR access and comply with applicable classified system, releasability, disclosure, and security requirements.
• Technical school diploma, associate degree, equivalent military training, or relevant experience supporting Navy combat systems, shipboard operations, fleet readiness, logistics, maintenance, or technical support environments.
• Ability to work on-site at a Government facility in Port Hueneme, CA and provide after-hours or weekend support for emergent operational mission requirements as needed.
• Ability to communicate professionally with Fleet units, Ship’s Force, SMEs, PMRs, waterfront stakeholders, and technical/logistics support organizations.
• Ability to track technical and logistics issues, follow up on open actions, maintain readiness information, and support status reporting with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare readiness updates, briefings, reports, and action item status information.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior U.S. Navy, AEGIS, combat systems, shipboard maintenance, Fleet liaison, waterfront support, logistics, or readiness reporting experience.
• Experience supporting TICONDEROGA (CG 47) Class cruisers, ARLEIGH BURKE (DDG 51) Class destroyers, Aegis Shore sites, or other Navy surface combatant platforms.
• Experience reviewing, tracking, or coordinating CASREPs, readiness status, equipment status, operational message traffic, or Fleet technical assistance requests.
• Experience using PMO, OneTouch, Fleet Readiness Database, SIPR-based tools, classified websites, logistics systems, or other readiness tracking systems.
• Experience coordinating parts status, Whiskey requisitions, logistics obstacles, and technical resolution actions with SMEs and waterfront stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze readiness impacts, identify trends or recurring issues, and recommend actions to improve Fleet readiness and mission support.
• Current or prior SIPR access and familiarity with classified reporting environments.
Security Clearance:
Applicants must have an active security clearance and/or the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a DoD Government-granted security clearance. Individuals will be subject to a background investigation to include but not limited to, criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.
