  • Ongoing, Clerk Grade 7/8 ($116,981 - $129,492 per annum) opportunity, based in Martin Place, Sydney

About the Role
You will join our Sector Capability Development team within the Workforce Planning branch in the People and Workforce group. As the Advisor, Strategic Workforce Development, you will support the design, delivery and evaluation of strategic workforce initiatives that strengthen workforce capability across the NSW public sector.

Working across a diverse portfolio of workforce strategy and capability projects, you will coordinate project activities, undertake research and analysis, prepare high-quality presentations and reports, and contribute to evidence-based advice that informs sector-wide workforce priorities. You will also support governance activities, engage with agencies and stakeholders, and contribute to workforce planning and capability development initiatives that help build a future-ready public sector.

This is an opportunity to work on complex, high-impact projects that influence workforce capability across government, collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders to deliver practical solutions that support public sector reform and organisational effectiveness.

We're Looking For

  • Workforce Strategy: Experience supporting workforce strategy, workforce planning, or capability development initiatives, applying research and analysis to develop practical, evidence-based solutions
  • Research and Analysis: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information, identify emerging workforce trends and prepare high-quality presentations and reports to support decision-making and program delivery
  • Communication and Delivery: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing executive-quality content and contributing to the successful delivery of workforce programs and strategic initiatives
  • Project Coordination: Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple projects, maintaining governance processes and project documentation, monitoring progress and delivering quality outcomes within competing priorities and timeframes
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to build collaborative relationships and work effectively with agencies and stakeholders to support the delivery of workforce initiatives in complex environments
