Job Purpose and Impact

The Advisor, Marketing Manager - Retail Grinds will identify, develop and lead the marketing strategy, priorities and investments for the Cargill's Retail Ground Beef business. In this role, you will apply broad and in depth knowledge of the business, market, customer drivers and product offerings to inform and direct customer driven marketing initiatives that accomplish business and financial goals. As a strategic partner to the business, product performance and create value for customers while driving business growth.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide thought leadership in the development and execution of marketing strategy and annual plans for the assigned product or category, incorporating brands and customer segments as relevant and in alignment with broader business objectives.
  • Partner collaboratively with broader marketing teams to inform comprehensive product or category promotional programs, campaigns and other marketing activations in alignment with budgets and relevant competitive, customer and market dynamics.
  • Partner strategically with cross functional teams to understand and apply customer needs, competitor intelligence, market trends and consumer behaviors to drive where to play and how to win decisions for the product or category, improve overall positioning and advance customer value capture.
  • Ensure the product or category portfolio is healthy and drives growth by spearheading innovation, new product development, co creation of customer solutions and product commercialization initiatives.
  • Provide expert thought leadership to design launch strategies for new products, services or solutions as measured by key performance indicators, partnering collaboratively across commercial and technical functions to optimize customer engagement and demand.
  • Drive customer experience improvements for the assigned product or category, developing and activating differentiated customer value propositions in partnership with broader teams.
  • Provide guidance on the development and delivery of marketing trainings, events and collateral for the product or category.
  • Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience
  • Experience in the food industry


Preferred Qualifications

  • Protein industry experience
  • Experience in retail or CPG categories
  • Experience in innovation, product commercialization, or packaging strategy

Position Information

  • This position is hybrid and requires to be on site based on business need. Up to 30% of travel is required to support the business.
  • This position is located in Wayzata, MN or Wichita, KS
  • This posting will expire on July 31st, 2026
  • The expected salary for this position is $130,000 - $175,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
