Job Description

You're all about the detail and this role will allow you to drive evidence-based decision making to optimise systems and efficiency, not just for the business but for our customers too. It's data and research with impact you can see.

In this role, you'll:


•Develop and project manage a range of early market engagement tactics including communications and market scoping questions to keep industry partners informed about Transport for NSW projects, the infrastructure pipeline and strategic priorities.


•Provide advice and guidance to project team stakeholders on timing, format, key messages and content to ensure MIP materials are tailored effectively for different projects and their intended outcomes.


•Be responsible for the coordination and approach of the Market Interaction Process (MIP) for early market engagement across the forward pipeline of Transport’s infrastructure projects.


•Review and monitor communications to ensure they align with policy and project requirements and comply with regulatory processes and procedures.


•As a market insights and research role, analyse and use industry trends identified via MIPs and conduct the annual Industry Sentiment Monitor, to prepare clear insights into clear, compelling narratives.


•Carry out desktop research and establish a network of internal stakeholders to inform the creation of clear, accurate written content.

About you:


•Relevant tertiary qualifications in Economics, Project Management, Marketing, or a related field, or 7 years’ equivalent professional experience


•Ability to work independently and manage workload with minimal guidance


•Strong insight storytelling capability, able to turn qualitative data and research findings into meaningful recommendations


•You’re recognised as a strong communicator, skilled at managing competing priorities, advising stakeholders and experienced in shaping industry facing communications


•You have experience conducting meaningful market research, analysing trends, and delivering insights that support strategic decision making.
