Albemarle is hiring an Advisor, Joint Ventures. This position is located in Perth .

What You Will Do

  • Uphold Albemarle’s Health, Safety, Environmental and Community standards across all your day-to-day responsibilities, activities, and interactions.
  • Embody Albemarle’s Core Values of Care, Curiosity, Collaboration, Humility, Accountability, and Integrity.
  • Support Hardrock Operations strategies, management plans, and continuous improvement initiatives spanning operations, capital, and cost performance.
  • Conduct analytical work to identify and quantify value opportunities across Joint Venture operations, supporting the team's strategy and value realisation priorities.
  • Prepare reporting and analysis of budget and operational data with your JV colleagues, including ad hoc support of long range and strategic planning efforts, preparing and translating insights to senior stakeholders
  • Assist in preparation of highimpact executive materials, including briefing packs, dashboards, and performance summaries that clearly articulate insights, risks, and recommendations for senior leaders.
  • Support and improve operational performance insights, including OpEx and sustaining CapEx analysis, budget tracking, cost drivers, and identification of improvement and control opportunities as instructed.
  • Build commercial awareness and apply judgement to support recommendations aligned with Joint Venture objectives, working within established and governance frameworks.
  • Collaborate across functions and geographies, leveraging the technical, commercial, and corporate expertise across Albemarle to deliver enterprise value.
  • Maintain trusted relationships with Joint Venture partners, operators, and internal stakeholders to enable influence, alignment, and delivery of shared objectives.
  • Contribute to monitoring of operator compliance, including support in any reviews, audits, and assessments of Joint Venture agreements and contracts to identify gaps, risks, and improvement actions.
  • Support longterm planning by developing operational and financial forecasts that integrate cost, production, capital, and market assumptions.
  • Assist in tracking competitor and market intelligence, including lithium market trends, activity, regulatory developments, and cost benchmarks relevant to Hardrock Operations.

What You Bring

Required:

  • Bachelor of Law, Business, Engineering or other relevant degree
  • High regard for workplace safety and sustainability practices.
  • 3+ years’ experience, with exposure to mining or natural resource operations, including within a consulting environment
  • Experience in reporting financial and operational data for senior stakeholders
  • Experience in developing presentations, reporting, briefing materials for senior stakeholders advantageous
  • Demonstrated developing commercial awareness through involvement in contract reviews and understanding associated commercial implications
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous standards in working with and interpreting financial and operational data
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PPT)
  • Strong problem-solving skills in a complex environment, with effective workflow management
  • Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • AI prompt engineering and Power BI proficiency preferred
