As Advisor I, Contracts at Phillips 66, you will support the development, execution, and management of commercial contracts that enable business operations and protect the company. This entry-level role offers the opportunity to build expertise in contract administration, energy markets, and cross-functional collaboration while contributing to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

What You'll Do

  • Support the drafting, review, and validation of contract terms and trade confirmations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with commercial agreements.
    • Administer the full lifecycle of contracts, maintaining documentation, databases, and audit-ready records across systems and processes.
    • Investigate and resolve contract discrepancies by partnering with internal stakeholders, legal, finance, and external counterparties to identify root causes and drive resolution.
    • Compile, analyze, and report contract and transaction data to support business insights, performance tracking, and decision-making.
    • Maintain templates, controls, and documentation standards to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit expectations.
    • Collaborate across teams to support contract negotiations, supplier coordination, and stakeholder engagement activities.
    • Monitor contract performance, identify risks or trends, and provide insights to improve future agreements and processes.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to standardize, streamline, and automate contract workflows.
    • Build effective working relationships with internal partners and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and communication.
    • Develop foundational knowledge of contract management practices, systems, and industry trends while continuing to grow capabilities in the role.

What You'll Bring – Required

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 1 year or more years of experience in contract management, commercial, finance, or related experience
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft office software and Outlook

What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred

  • Experience supporting contracts in energy trading, commodities, or related industries
  • Familiarity with SAP, Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systems, or contract lifecycle management tools
  • Experience analyzing large datasets and building reports to support business decisions
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills applied to financial or contract data
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes and drive efficiency in workflows
  • Exposure to audit processes, compliance requirements, or regulatory environments
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Basic understanding of contract drafting, review, and administration processes
  • Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues effectively
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams

Compensation Range

This position has a base salary range of $96,300 – $117,700.

Where a candidate offer falls within the posted range depends on the candidate's experience, skills, and alignment with the role’s requirements.
