About Us:
Welcome to The Perth Mint, where golden career opportunities await.
The Perth Mint is an iconic Western Australian organisation operating on a truly global scale. Situated in East Perth for over 125 years, The Perth Mint is a premier tourist destination, an award-winning exporter, and a key supplier of precious metals to markets throughout the world. Our purpose is âto bring the wonder of precious metals to the worldâ.
Thereâs no organisation quite like it, with a variety of roles available, from engineers and chemists to artists and technicians.
The Opportunity:
This is a permanent full-time role based in our East Perth office, with an ASAP start.
Youâll play a key role in coordinating, facilitating, and advising on health and safety requirements across the business. Itâs a hands-on role with a strong focus on reporting, administration, toolbox talks, audits, and ensuring the systems that support safety are working as they should.
Youâll be trusted to keep things moving - maintaining accurate information, supporting assurance activities, and helping ensure safety standards are being consistently applied across our site and contractor environments.
Itâs a role that suits someone who likes structure, clarity, and getting the fundamentals right, while still being part of continuous improvement across safety culture and systems.
About You:
You bring a steady, calm approach to your work and are comfortable dealing with a mix of operational detail and stakeholder engagement.
Youâre objective in how you assess situations and make decisions, and youâre able to work through issues effectively.
Youâre organised, reliable, collaborate well with others, and consistent when it comes to follow through - particularly around accurate reporting, documentation, and keeping systems accurate and up to date.
Youâll hold qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety (Certificate IV or Tertiary) and will have demonstrated strong experience in a similar role. Having experience working with contractors or across project environments is also desirable, however not essential. What matters most is your ability to engage people, maintain clarity in your work, and apply sound judgement in a safety focused environment.
Our Benefits:
Itâs easy to dismiss the perfect opportunity if you donât see yourself as the perfect fit. If this role feels right, no matter your background or personal circumstances â please submit your application.
