The RoleDocument Controller – Engineering Services
by managing and controlling engineering documentation and changing records to ensure accuracy, traceability, and timely release. This role enables effective engineering change management and manufacturing execution through close coordination with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain.
What You’ll Do:
Facilitates the process of releasing new products, derivatives, and changes to new or existing products and processes.
The individual will create Change Order's that precipitate the release of materials, documents and BOMs into the MRP system.
The position requirestrackingofCO'sin process to prompt next step owners to complete tasks on high priority CO's
This person enters new material information, documents, and BOMs into the MRP system as well as updating material masters.
Detailed knowledge of Bills of Materials (BOMs), Part Numbering Systems, and Part Creation practices.
Process engineering change orders using PLM & EPDM ensuring completeness as well as driving engineering changes through each step of the ECO process.
Responsible for implementing engineering changes in the company SAP (MRP) system.
Responsible for working with Operations and Purchasing in implementing engineering changes to ensure that part disposition in ECO is properly completed.
What We Seek:
Experience with document control, including ECO processing, Bill of Materials (BOM) management, part creation, and implementation of engineering changes
Associate Degree in Engineering or Technology
Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field (MQF Level 4 or 5)
Technical knowledge of engineering principles and ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to edit engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documents based on engineer markups
Experience with SolidWorks (AutoCAD, Pro/E, Visio, and FileMaker experience is a plus)
Ability to make minor drawing modifications per engineer markups
Outstanding Candidates Will Have:
Experience with engineering change management, including ECO processing and implementation of engineering changes
Strong working knowledge of Bills of Materials (BOMs), part numbering systems, and part creation practices
Experience processing engineering changes using PLM and EPDM systems, ensuring completeness and end‑to‑end workflow execution
Exposure to implementing engineering changes within SAP / MRP systems
Ability to edit engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documents based on engineer markups
Experience with SolidWorks; exposure to AutoCAD, Pro/E, Visio, and FileMaker is an advantage
High level of organization with the ability to track multiple change orders (COs) and drive timely closure with cross‑functional stakeholders
