• Midpoint of $82,061 dependent on experience

Ko tōu ake mahi - What you’ll do

As an Advisor, you'll help bring the Ministry’s work to life through clear, engaging, and impactful communications. Working across teams and with a wide range of stakeholders, you'll craft content that informs, connects, and builds trust, while helping protect and enhance the Ministry's reputation. From developing communications and media content to providing insights and managing competing priorities, you'll play a key role in ensuring New Zealanders understand the value and impact of the Ministry's work.

• Create compelling content across media, digital and social channels
• Deliver proactive communications that tell the Ministry's story
• Monitor public, stakeholder and media sentiment to identify risks and opportunities
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Improve processes, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality work on time

• Exceptional writing skills and a sharp eye for detail.
• The ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences and channels.
• Strong experience across communications, media and/or digital environments.
• Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Initiative, sound judgement and a commitment to delivering high-quality work on time.
