Job Description

  • This position supports the development and execution of enterprise AI enablement strategies that promote AI literacy, organizational readiness for AI transformation, and effective use of AI-enabled products across Northwell. This position will be tasked with understanding how / where employees are using AI effectively, identifying areas of opportunity for increased AI utilization, & leading strategy creation & cross-functional program operations to remove barriers to AI adoption. Working collaboratively with business, operational, technical, and leadership stakeholders, the role will be integrally involved with the following major initiatives:

  • AI Education Helping Northwell’s large & diverse workforce build foundational AI competencies through building & scaling an enterprise AI learning function. This will include the selection / management of AI Education vendors, the curation of multiple general / tailored curriculums, & the evaluation & reporting of program success to inform strategic decision making.

  • AI Community Development including origination, recruitment & ongoing management of an AI Super User Network / Community of Practice, intended to disseminate knowledge, cultivate & empower AI champions, & expand peer-driven AI collaboration

  • AI Enterprise platform rollouts: contributing as a customer success advisor, ensuring programs contain / leverage elements that ensure the workforce is being enabled to support responsible, effective, & maximally value accretive AI usage.

Highly Preferred Skills:

    • Broad familiarity with AI technology & market trends – including Large Language Models, AI “Agents” & autonomous reasoning systems, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, etc.

    • Strong understanding of how to translate AI knowledge into practical workforce enablement models that strengthen generalized AI competencies & incorporation of AI products/tools into their completion of day-to-day tasks.

    • The ability to help grow and operationalize strategic programs through close collaboration with business, operational, technical, education, and leadership stakeholders.

    • Top-tier project and program coordination skills, including comfort managing multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining focus on execution, scale, and measurable impact.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to “translate” complex AI capabilities, relative platform strengths/weaknesses, & learning strategies into clear recommendations for diverse stakeholder groups.

    • Capability to lead Enterprise-sale AI education programs – including…

    Running the evaluation of - & relationship management with - AI Education vendors

    • Overseeing day-to-day platform operations, including license allocation/redistribution decisions, program communications to users, support channel setup, etc.

    • Designing tailored “learning paths” (general, role-specific, product, specific, etc.) curating AI topics, & evaluating & improving the quality of 3rd party educational materials.

    • Defining Education program KPIs, overseeing processes around their measurement, & driving reporting for executive audiences, Areas of focus include educational engagement & increases in basic AI competencies

    • Preparedness to lead the operationalization of an AI Super User Network / Community of Practice, including….

    • Establishing group charter[s] & defining key activities / benefits / participant requirements

    • Identifying, recruiting, organizing, and activating skilled AI practitioners and power users across the organization to support broader enablement, knowledge-sharing, and departmental adoption needs.

    • Organizing the contributions of the cross functional stakeholder sets that will be required for ongoing facilitation of these user networks

    • Meaningfully contribute to AI Enterprise Platform Rollouts, including..

    • Familiarity with enterprise productivity and workflow platforms that are increasingly incorporating AI features, with pre-existing (or the ability to develop) working knowledge of tools such as Gemini Enterprise, ServiceNow, Salesforce, Epic, or similar platforms with LLM-drive / Agentic AI capabilities

    • Able to assess and communicate the relative strengths, limitations, and ideal use cases of available AI tools and platforms to support solutioning, prioritization, and adoption decisions.

    • Ability to liaise effectively with platform, product, and operational teams to validate platform capabilities and ensure accurate, actionable guidance is disseminated to users.

    • Experience supporting platform adoption and customer success-style enablement, including defining priority areas for engagement, segmenting user activity to inform activation strategies, designing and/or leading, product-specific training programs such as leadership or departmental workshops, drafting advanced utilization guidance, etc.,

Job Responsibility

  • Collaborates with senior leadership to identify prospective partners to ensure health system's strategic, sustainable growth, through the creation of strategic
    alliances with like-minded and culturally aligned providers in key market areas.
  • Works collaboratively with internal stakeholders to identify partnership opportunities, mutual goals/objectives, and strategic alliances.
  • Recognizes opportunities to collaborate in the development of innovative solutions to reduce costs and achieve operational efficiencies.
  • Evaluates new initiatives based on their projected impact on organization operations, financial standing, and market position; recognizes
    program expansion opportunities and interfaces with internal stakeholders to recommend growth initiatives.
  • Serves as technical advisor to management as needed; Collaborates with internal stakeholders to organize and analyze information related to business models for new initiatives.
  • Provides technical guidance in terms of evaluating the likely financial impact of proposed new services; works with the leadership to establish
    infrastructure, identify resources, setup and operationalize initiatives.
  • Assist in identifying strategic partners. Serves as liaison and fosters communication between organizations as applicable.
  • Develops and determines priorities, and monitors status of initiatives to ensure that they are achieving expected goals and objectives; assists in managing
    small to medium sized project budgets by providing continued support in preparation and allocation of funds.
  • Assists in implementation of Human Resources plans to achieve strategic goals and objectives including organizational development, recruiting,
    compensation, training and development, and employee engagement and relations; ensures compliance with federal, state and local laws, regulatory
    requirements and Joint Commission standards.

Job Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and
    related experience.
  • 5 - 7 years of relevant experience required, and leadership / management experience preferred.
