The Advertising Specialist will assist the Marketing Department with their comprehensive advertising plan by providing support and assistance to the team in various department areas, including, but not limited to advertising, social media, online, direct mail, promotions, special events, and player development. This role will support multiple campaigns by operating the promotional materials library, supporting, and distributing incoming inquiries among the internal and external staff. The Advertising Specialist must communicate with outside departments and vendors via telephone, email, and social media respectfully and timely.

In this Role:

• Assist with all social media platforms and social media content for the casino.
• Develop and maintain an engaging social media calendar inclusive of written content, photos, and videos across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other platforms. Must have the ability to deliver creative content.
• Collaborate with marketing, product development teams, outside vendors, copywriters, and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing.
• Manage the voice of Gun Lake Casino through monitoring and engaging with guests and interacting through all our social media audiences.
• Create, and look for viral, shareable online content to increase social media KPIs and website traffic. Must be able to provide direction and recommendations for growth.
• Monitor user engagement and identify opportunities for content optimizations.
• Connect with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network.
• Responsible for mobile app content and strategy integration with all other platforms.
• Assist in training co-workers to use social media in a cohesive and beneficial way.
• Responsible for providing the Advertising Manager with support in creating job requests, advertising campaign strategy, purchase orders, bids/quotes, and file/collateral/financial management, along with tracking progress of jobs from start to finish.
• Assists with all marketing initiatives (i.e. direct mail, email, mobile, website content updates, mobile app, social media, online reviews, etc.), including test and learn segmentation and targeting criteria.
• Provide creative direction to in-house creative team for all monthly marketing and promotional assets.
• Coordinate the guest experience for promotional kiosks navigation, menu, and visual appearance.
• Demonstrated advanced knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices.
• Demonstrated knowledge of web design and publishing programs.
• Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels.
• Ability to grasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, including editing and proof-reading copy.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products with the ability to learn and comprehend new programs.
• Responsible for always practicing, supporting, and promoting Gun Lake Casino’s “4 Diamond Service Standards.”
• Maintain a high level of personal integrity on and off duty.
• Practice teamwork, support fellow Team Members, and create an energized, positive, team-oriented work environment.
• Interact with Guests in a friendly and courteous manner and handle all Guest opportunities promptly.
• Must be able to effectively communicate both written and verbally with Guests, Team Members, and Management.
• Maintain excellent grooming and uniform standards.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university with a concentration in Marketing, Advertising, Communication, Business, or related field required. Experience in lieu of education may be considered.
• Two (2) years of project management and digital marketing experience required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
• Work experience in the gaming or hospitality industry is preferred.
• Must obtain a Gun Lake Tribal Gaming License

Physical Requirements:

• Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
• Must have the manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment.
• Ability to sit, walk, stand, run, and climb stairs for the duration of shift.
• Must have the ability to access all properties and areas.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
• Ability to read, write and input data into the computer.
• Ability to stoop, crouch and kneel.

Work Conditions:

Work is typically in an office environment or out on the casino floor. Work areas may be warm, cold, or noisy. Tasks may be required to perform from a sitting or non-sitting position in a confined area. Team Members may be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, and grasp.
