Welcome to a sky-high adventure in the beautiful Columbia Valley, British Columbia. The Golden Skybridge Adventure Park is located amidst six stunning National Parks and is an incredible place to live and work. From canyon-spanning zipline rides to moments of awe atop Canada's highest suspension bridge, wonder awaits at Golden Skybridge!

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be a partof theteamoperatingthe attractions at the Golden SkybridgeThe Attractionteamis responsible forthe SkyZipline, ChallengeCourse, Giant CanyonSwing,MountainCoaster, ticket validation, trail monitoring, interpretative programing and guiding
  • Daily opening and closing procedures for all of our attractions
  • Conducting inspections of infrastructure and equipment
  • Ensuringall guests meet our access and waiver requirements.
  • Fitting harnesses,helmetsand other equipment correctly andmonitoringthe use of all safety equipment
  • Conducting safety orientationsand equipment safety checks
  • Monitoringthe progress,experience, and safetyof guests on the attractions
  • Using guest engagement skills to ensure a memorable experience for each guestand buildexcitement about the forthcoming experience
  • Facilitatingguestsexperiencebyestablishingrapport with each guest,reviewing safetyprotocols, answering questions,demonstratinghow touse equipmentrequiredto enjoy each attraction,andcontinuing to build relationshipswith guests throughout the experience
  • Usingstrongcommunicationskills to listen, engage, and conversewith guests to enhance their experience.
  • Coaching,assistingandrescuing guestson theattractions asrequired
  • Attending required meetings and training
  • Assistingwithattractionsmaintenanceasrequested
  • Responsible for assisting withgear maintenance, including but not limited to washing, cleaning, sanitizing, and preparing the equipment, as requested
  • Other duties asrequired


REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidates must be 19years old on or before April 1 of the summer for which you are applying
  • Prior experience with outdoor recreation, athletics, educational roles, high ropes instructor experience, ziplining, climbing, lift operation or guest relations isan asset.
  • Comfortable working at heights and working with fall protection systems.
  • Have great attention to detail to ensure safety and overall positive guest experience
  • Guides must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business instructions, technical procedures, or government regulationsthat will bewritten in English
  • Strong physical stamina and conditioning. Physical demands of the position include working outdoors in all weather conditions, repetitive actions and speaking, sitting/standing for extended periods of time, frequent bending/twisting, and ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50pounds.
  • Be able towalk long distances athigh altitudesand climb stairs/ladders
  • Possessfullrange of overhead arm motions. Have full hand dexterity. Haveenoughupper bodystrengthto pull self and the potential addition ofup to250 pounds along each cable’s incline
  • Every guideis required towork in a fast-paced, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Strong communicationand listening skills with local and international guests and staff
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends,eveningsand holidays.
  • Firstaidand/or CPR certificationis an asset.
  • Second language skillsarehighlyadvantageous

The starting wage for this role is $19.00/hour.
