Job Description

Job Summary:

Advantix is seeking a Solutions Architect to help design and scale enterprise cellular connectivity solutions for customers with complex mobility, IoT, and connected-device requirements.

This role sits at the intersection of technology, customers, carriers, and commercial strategy. The Solutions Architect will work alongside sales, product, operations, customers, mobile network operators, and technology partners to turn business requirements into connectivity solutions that are scalable, supportable, and commercially sound.

The right candidate can design a sophisticated multi-carrier solution and explain to a customer executive how the architecture improves reliability, reduces risk, controls cost, or enables growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Connectivity Solutions

  • Lead technical discovery for complex cellular connectivity opportunities.
  • Architect solutions for enterprise mobility, IoT, and connected-device deployments.
  • Design multi-carrier solutions using SIM, eSIM, and managed connectivity technologies.
  • Evaluate carrier coverage, resiliency, failover, device compatibility, certification, provisioning, and lifecycle requirements.
  • Design connectivity approaches for customers operating across multiple regions and countries.
  • Balance technical capability, customer requirements, scalability, and cost when recommending solutions.

Partner with Carriers and Technology Providers

  • Work directly with mobile network operators, connectivity providers, device manufacturers, and technology partners.
  • Evaluate carrier and partner capabilities against customer requirements.
  • Understand the technical and commercial differences between connectivity options.
  • Support troubleshooting of complex issues spanning devices, networks, configurations, carriers, and connectivity platforms.
  • Help define multi-carrier and global connectivity strategies.

Turn Architecture into Commercial Solutions

  • Partner with sales to move opportunities from discovery through solution design and deployment.
  • Translate technical requirements into clear customer recommendations.
  • Consider pricing, margin, recurring revenue, support requirements, and cost to serve when developing solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to turn customer-specific solutions into repeatable offerings.
  • Help determine when specialized technical resources or partners are required.
  • Support strategic customer opportunities where technical expertise can influence revenue, retention, or expansion.

Support Successful Deployments

  • Remain engaged from solution design through implementation and operational handoff.
  • Design solutions with provisioning, billing, support, compliance, and ongoing lifecycle management in mind.
  • Partner with operations and support teams to establish deployment readiness.
  • Lead or participate in technical root-cause analysis when deployments do not perform as expected.
  • Turn lessons learned into improved architectures, standards, and repeatable practices.

Communicate with Customers and Executives

  • Present technical architectures and recommendations to customers.
  • Translate complex connectivity concepts into clear business language.
  • Communicate technical tradeoffs in terms of cost, risk, reliability, scalability, and business impact.
  • Adjust the level of technical detail based on the audience, from engineers to customer executives.
  • Build credibility as a trusted technical advisor with customers, sales teams, carriers, and partners.

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in cellular connectivity, IoT, telecommunications, enterprise mobility, solutions engineering, or solution architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience personally designing complex customer solutions.
  • Strong understanding of cellular networks, SIM/eSIM technologies, connected devices, and carrier services.
  • Experience working directly with mobile network operators or global connectivity providers.
  • Experience supporting large or complex customer deployments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to translate customer needs into technical architectures and practical implementation plans.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to non-technical and executive audiences.
  • Understanding of how technical architecture impacts revenue, margin, customer experience, and ongoing operational costs.
  • Strong ownership mentality with the ability to work across sales, product, operations, and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with an MVNO, managed connectivity provider, IoT provider, mobile network operator, or enterprise mobility organization.
  • Experience architecting multi-carrier or international connectivity solutions.
  • Experience with global SIM/eSIM architectures and connectivity orchestration.
  • Understanding of carrier wholesale pricing and economics.
  • Experience with device certification and carrier approval processes.
  • Experience with provisioning, activation, billing, and device lifecycle management.
  • Experience developing new connectivity products or repeatable managed-service offerings.
  • Experience supporting deployments across North America and international markets.

What Success Looks Like

  • Help win complex connectivity opportunities through strong technical discovery and architecture.
  • Build solutions that deliver measurable customer value while supporting healthy economics for Advantix.
  • Reduce deployment risk by considering implementation and ongoing support during the architecture process.
  • Create repeatable architectures that allow Advantix to scale connectivity solutions across customers.
  • Become a trusted technical partner to sales, customers, carriers, and technology partners.
  • Bring a clear point of view on the future of cellular connectivity and translate it into new customer solutions.
