Job Description
Advancement Associate, Education Freedom Tax Credit (EFTC)
This position offices in-person, on campus
ROLE SUMMARY
The Advancement Associate, Education Freedom Tax Credit (EFTC) plays a vital role in advancing the mission and vision of Valor Christian High School through strategic relationship development, fundraising, and community engagement. This position will lead fundraising initiatives associated with the federal Education Freedom Tax Credit (EFTC), established under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), which provides tax incentives for eligible contributions to scholarship-granting organizations (SGOs).
This position will focus on cultivating relationships with individuals, families, businesses, and community partners to generate financial support for educational scholarships. Through these efforts, the Associate will help expand access to Christ-centered education, reduce financial barriers for families, and create meaningful opportunities for donors to invest in the lives and futures of students.
Central to this role is the guiding purpose of “Expanding Access to Christian Education in Colorado” by connecting prospective donors and community partners with meaningful opportunities to support educational scholarships. The Associate will educate key stakeholders on the benefits and opportunities of the EFTC while identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding relationships with individuals, families, alumni, churches and their congregations, Christian businesses, CPAs, financial advisors, wealth managers, estate-planning attorneys, and other potential partners. Through these efforts, the Associate will help reduce financial barriers for families and create opportunities for donors to invest in the lives and futures of students. This position will collaborate with the Head of School, Chief Advancement Officer, Chief Financial and Operating Officer (CFOO), and the Board of Education’s Advancement Committee.
Advancement Associate, Education Freedom Tax Credit (EFTC) will also serve as a key liaison to ACE Scholarships (Alliance for Choice in Education), Valor's scholarship-granting organization (SGO) partner. ACE Scholarships is a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding educational opportunities for students from lower-income families by providing scholarships to attend private schools, including Christian schools. The Associate will work closely with ACE to coordinate donor engagement, promote participation in the EFTC program, and maximize scholarship opportunities for eligible students.
As a trusted and passionate ambassador for Valor Christian, this role represents the school with professionalism and enthusiasm, clearly communicating its mission, vision, distinctives, and Kingdom purpose. Through intentional relationship-building, thoughtful donor care, and collaboration across the school, this position helps foster a culture of generosity and builds lasting support for Valor Christian and its future.
