Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Recruits for the most difficult to fill professional and management positions across the region for assigned functional areas (engineering, sales, corporate functions, etc.). Ensures that talent acquisition efforts adhere to DENSO’s diversity and inclusion programs. Responsible to meet KPIs set for cycle time, retention during initial employment period, etc. achieved by entry and senior level specialists.

2. Administers the candidate process through an Applicant Tracking System, including creating the job posting, sourcing candidates, organizing and leading the interview process, following up with hiring managers on requisition status, determining appropriate salary and benefits offerings, extending offers and finalizing start dates. Leads and implements process and/or systems improvements.

3. Oversees and ensures compliance of pre-employment process from job posting through to offer.

4. Evaluates service levels from current vendors and researches other vendors for possible change. Manages the process to negotiate annual contracts with current or new vendors.

5. Builds relationships with external contract vendors to ensure proper candidates are being sourced for contract openings. Maintains and builds relationships with external search companies for hard to fill positions.

6. Key business partner in annual manpower process.

7. Conducts regular follow-up meetings with managers to determine effectiveness of sourcing strategies.

9. Takes a lead role in Talent Acquisition projects.

10. Recommends and implements overall Talent Acquisition polices and procedures.

11. Trains and mentors less experienced professionals.

12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Level of Education and Training Required

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, management, organizational management or related field and 5-8 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Level of Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Excellent knowledge and familiarity with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent knowledge/understanding of professional, college and non-exempt recruiting best practices and current industry trends
  • Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Advanced analytical skills, with an ability to gather, analyze and summarize recruiting data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills. Ability to communicate with internal and external customers on issues of moderate to considerable importance, up to and including senior management
  • Excellent ability to foster and maintain relationships with an ability to work as part of a cross functional team
  • Excellent customer service skills. Ability to promote and support a service-oriented environment
  • Excellent negotiation skills. Ability to defend position strongly while keenly aware of the need to maximize benefits for all sides
  • Strong project management skills, including identifying and scheduling process steps, determining resources and staff required to successfully complete assigned projects or project steps and reporting on project milestones
  • Ability to apply process improvement planning and checking to own work output and to assist others with identifying gaps in work results
  • Strong continuous improvement mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to train or transfer knowledge to less experienced professionals

Visual requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision. Physical requirements include standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, talking, hearing and repetitive motions. Position work environment is typically indoors in pleasant, well-lighted areas with comfortable temperatures and in a controlled environment where there are no significant amounts of dust, fumes or odors. Unavoidable accidents and health hazards are unlikely.

This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.

Annual Salary: $93,200 - $116,400
