We’re a global, multi-disciplinary team that’s putting the innovative power of technology to work and transforming tomorrow. At HARMAN Corporate, you are integral to our company’s award-winning success.
About the Role
The Advanced Specialist – Kubernetes Platform role focuses on designing, building, and operating highly available, scalable Kubernetes platforms across hybrid environments, including on-premises and cloud services such as AWS EKS and Azure AKS. The engineer will take end-to-end ownership of Kubernetes cluster architecture, application deployments using kubectl and Helm, and progressively adopt GitOps practices through tools like ArgoCD. The role involves implementing robust observability frameworks using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Mimir to ensure system reliability, along with defining and improving SLA/SLO metrics. A significant aspect of the role includes automating infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and scripting, managing Kubernetes-native storage and networking, and enforcing strong security controls such as RBAC, OPA/Gatekeeper, network policies, and secrets management. Additionally, the engineer will design and test backup and disaster recovery strategies, lead incident response and root cause analysis, and participate in on-call rotations. This position also requires mentoring team members, documenting best practices, and continuously driving improvements in cloud-native, DevOps, and Kubernetes ecosystem practices.
