Autoliv is looking for a dynamic Senior Executive - PED to join our team and contribute to manufacturing excellence, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and technically proficient Advanced Specialist / Senior Executive - PED to support productivity improvement initiatives, process optimization, automation projects, and manufacturing excellence programs. The role will involve line balancing, time studies, PLC troubleshooting support, new equipment installation, and the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support production layout optimization and manufacturing efficiency improvements.
  • Assist in PLC logic understanding, programming support, and troubleshooting of automation systems.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to resolve automation-related issues.
  • Participate in New Product Development (NPD) activities and new equipment installations.
  • Implement jigs, fixtures, and Poka-Yoke solutions to enhance process reliability.
  • Prepare and maintain process documentation including Work Instructions (WI), SOPs, PFMEA, and Process Flow Charts.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen, SMED, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S.
  • Conduct Time Studies, Line Balancing, Capacity Analysis, and Work Measurement activities.
  • Contribute to IoT, automation, and digital manufacturing initiatives.
  • Work with AI-assisted analytics tools for process optimization.
  • Support computer vision applications for inspection and defect detection.
  • Assist with robotic integration projects.
  • Diagnose automation faults using PLC diagnostic tools, error logs, and communication checks.
  • Support systems utilizing industrial communication protocols such as Profinet, Modbus TCP/RTU, Profibus, and Ethernet/IP.

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Competencies

  • Industrial Engineering tools: Time Study, Method Study, MOST, and Work Measurement.
  • Basic to intermediate PLC programming knowledge.
  • Understanding of PLC architecture, scan cycles, I/O mapping, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and layout optimization.
  • Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and Poka-Yoke methodologies.
  • Understanding of industrial communication protocols.
  • Technical knowledge of machines and automation systems.
  • Basic understanding of ladder logic and PLC programming concepts.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint. AutoCAD knowledge is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of Machine Learning concepts such as classification, prediction, and anomaly detection.
